Through my eyes Diary of a Madman is easily a much better album. It's just so perfect and amazes me every time I give it a real listen. Blizzard is very good but it just doesn't have that effect on me so much.

Diary of a Madman has always been on my A-list. This title track alone has one of the best endings of any song I've ever heard.

There you go!

Hard to choose but if really needed I would go for Blizzard.
It's somehow more monumental to me.

I know what you mean by that. Every song is just awesome. But it never has the same effect on my as Diary. Not even Tribute has the Diary effect on me.

For the most part, I think the songs on Diary are better than those on Blizzard, but I prefer the sound of the guitar on Blizzard much more than the sound on Diary.

The fact that the 1st one was recorded with Randy in front of his amp and the 2nd had him plugged into the board in the control room is obvious to my ears... the 2nd record sounds much more sterile than the first, to me.
