On this date (around this time) a tragic stunt gone wrong took the lives of 3 people in Leesburg,Florida. One of them,an idol of mine and what I think was one of rock n' roll's greatest guitarist - Randy Rhoads. It still affects me to this day. It is still speculated whether or not is was an accident or multiple homicide by the bus driver/pilot Andrew Aycock. I remember Jamie hearing the news come over the radio and at 1st it was Ozzy whom was killed. The sad truth ,we later found out within the hour. My heart breaks so bad over this that I know part of me died that day. To Randy,the Rhoads family,friends and fans.....god bless. Rest in peace my Superman. I am greatful for the magic you made in the short time your super nova blazed across the planet. A true talent/inspiration to the young for sure.

33 yrs gone, still remember the moment when Friday Rock Shows Tommy Vance announced that Randy had been killed earlier that day, shook me to the core, so sad. RIP Randy Rhoads! Gone but never forgotten!

Listening to some podcasts and youtube clips of and about Randy now. I plan to have a few drinks and crank some DOM and BOO this evening in honor of the man. He's gone but continues to inspire me and so many others whether we are listening to his music or trying to play his licks. In ways, he is still with us I guess...
