This is why I hate the term "ultimate"... I like the fact that they didn't simply go for note-for-note covers, I'd rather hear Randy play note for note. Not a big fan of the Crazy Train release, but I respect what they did with it. Being "inspired by" is a lot different than "copying" which is why I respect the effort.

crowley with chuck billy and alexi .... I am a HUGE testament fan but chuck just doesn't suit this style of music, alexi is AWESOME and pretty true to randy

See, I'd prefer people not be true to what Randy did. Randy was all about making a song his own and a tribute should do the same. Look at Children of the Grave or Paranoid, Randy didn't stay true to those songs and his versions are fantastic.

Ugh. This is why we can't have nice things.

Their heart was in the right place....their musical arrangements and choices, not so much.

What a disappointment.

If they didn't have Tim Owens singing on almost every song I think it'd receive a bit better of a response. I am interested in the bonus features though.

By the way, Alexi does a pretty bitchin job on Crowley.

Probably the high light of the album. I did enjoy his playing. He has some chops for sure.

Agree, good guitar work, but his sound is so compressed, tonality is very mechanical...Vocal on Crowley are, and I'm being kind, HORRIBLE..Not sure who told this guy he could sing, but he needs to go back to the car wash!

A little disappointed in Tom's performance excepts at end of Crazy....

I was okay with the vocals on Crowley until the second solo started. The chanting and "wooo ohhh" stuff while Alexi is doing the outro solo just clashed and I could have done without it.
