Frenso - 2 January 1982 Footage

Post by Stewie »

I saw Quiet Riot play with Van Halen at Glendale City College when they had Kelly Garni on bass. I saw you play with Randy with Ozzy in Fresno Calif , on January 2nd ,1982, There was cameras crews and a video was never made public????, plus I saw you with Q.R. when White Snake open (they had technical difficulties that night). I'm glad you wrote the book since you were there in Metal's infancy, your place in history of Rock is secure!!!

I don't know anything about this show on 01/02/1982..
What do you think? Who would own these tapes? Would they still exist?

I don't mea to sound rude, but the English and the punctuation of that bolded item is too bad/mangled for me to really understand what's being said.

To have been old enough to have seen Quiet Riot with Kelly, that person would have to be in his late 40's at a minimum by now. I'd hope that by the late 40's grammer would be better.

According to this, the dates around that time are as follows:

December 30th - Cow Palace, San Francisco, CA - w/ Starfighters

December 31st - Sports Arena, Los Angeles, CA - w/ no opening act

January 1st - Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Phoenix, AZ

January 4th - Sports Arena, San Diego, CA

January 6th - Community Center Arena, Tuscon, AZ - w/ Starfighters

January 7th - Tingley Coliseum, Albuquerque, NM

January 9th - Salt Palace, Salt Lake City, UT

January 10th - C.U. Event Center, Boulder, CO

January 12th - Civic Auditorium Arena, Omaha, NE

January 13th - Municipal Auditorium, Kansas City, Missouri

January 15th - Met Center, Minneapolis, MN

I suppose it's possible that Ozzy played Fresno on the 2nd, but it's not listed and that list is pretty accurate. Plus Rudy didn't mention a camera crew in his book, so I'd doubt this posting is accurate.
January 17th - Duluth Arena, Duluth, MN

Not to be picky or stir trouble, but in a statement like that, use spell check. "Grammer" might be important but spelling (i.e, the correct spelling is "Grammar") is a close second.

About those tour dates... they probably did play in Fresno on that day, I just didn't add things to that list unless there was some type of confirmation. People would send me scans of ticket stubs or flyers or newspapers that confirmed shows they went to that I didn't have listed, thus helping amass that entire list.

What Frank, you think I might get offended by someone with 3 posts correcting my typo? C'mon, I'm not that bad, am I?

And by the way, grammar is important and pointing out a typo is just being picky. I will try to never make no mistakes in future times when I be posting, K?

But imagine it's been 25 years and no hint of this video has come to light? Seems fishy to me. Especially since the post was a message to Rudy who wrote in his book that no filming took place. It's almost as if he were challenging Rudy's version of the truth.

Pro footage or not, if there is new decent Randy footage, I'm just fine with that.
