In the May 1992 of GW with the lesson from the tape there is a Max Norman interview and he said that Randy used an old Marshall 100 watt with two 4 X 12 cabinets for both albums. Not sure if that is old news, if you didn't hear it before, it's new to you! It sounded like the pedal board was before the custom job? The cabinets were in the cellar facing the wall about 3 feet away. There were close mics and distant ones, yada yada... I just tried to fill it up some.

You can see a black Marshall head on top of his white 4 X 12 cabs in this photo. Plus his custom made pedal board.. Joe what are you trying to say ?

There is another photo of the whole band but I am starting to think the amp I am talking about might be the amp bob was using during a jam

I was speculating about the pedal board, Max mentioned the chip pan and boxes, whoops. He did say that about the amp.

The "basement" is under the control room as shown in the photos. I visited Ridge farm in 2006 and saw the place firsthand. Small-ish but comfortable. The second photo shown that the tape machines were eventually located tghere after BOO and DOAM were recorded.
