Very cool, thanks for the link. I'd love to know what Randy's impression of Rik Emmett was...

Triumph are a favourite band of mine and from what i can remember from reviews they didn't go down too well at this gig. Rik Emmett is a great guitarists a very talented guy.

I remember reading that when Girl opened for the Blizzard, Randy heard Phil Collen practicing and was impressed by his playing. So I figure if he'd heard Rik, he'd have been interested in at least discussing the instrument with him.
Triumph were a phenomenal band. I saw them at least 3 times live starting with the Allied Forces tour - which would have been the record they were touring at this gig.

Its sites like that we will discover new footage on one day.
It doesnt seem to be a Randy site at all, just a fan site of that one moment in history. All it takes is someone reliving there memory and to type in that date and hopefully that site would come up....and who knows what they could share

Re: Heavy Metal Holocaust website
I found a photograph from motorhead's set with a film camera set up on a tri pod at the side of the stage. I heard that motorhead's set was filmed but as far as my research goes no pro-shot film was done of Ozzy's set. Just that small clip shot by a fan from the crowd.
I've just realised looking at the photograph it is not from the HMH gig it is from the Reading Rock festival in 1979.
