Revelation Mother Earth Tab....

Do any of you have a good tab for RME? More specifically i am looking for the interlude part during the middle of the song. Ever since the 30yrs after DVD came out and those parts were played partially with the Randy's guitar track only, I feel all the tabs out there that exist are all wrong for that part of the song.

Im sure most of what will be posted i will have seen already, hopefully there is a gem out there that is correct though. Who knows though, we may never get it right completely since its buried in the mix pretty good except for the accented notes :(

Here is a book with a great tab of Revelation and here is the DVD lesson of the book. The Revelation lesson is 42 minutes long and really pretty good.

Would this version be better for tabbing? Allot of vocal removal..

Had high hopes at first, but that actually cuts out the acoustic part during the middle part :(

There are enough overdubbed guitars that you'd never get it without recording it with overdubs anyway. A lot of Randy's stuff is like a puzzle built from layers. The video lesson I referenced will get you to the level of his live rendition (since you can only play one guitar at a time). After that, get some software like Riffstation, isolate the part you are interested in learning, loop it, slow it and learn it. It's a lot easier than you'd think to pick this stuff out on your own when you isolate it.

Of course, like I said, the song is in layers, so if you learn a part that was an overdub, it might sound odd if you play that part in place of a more apparent part that is commonly played.

Ya that's what do, I mix the live and studio versions together.

I'll check out that riffstation you mentioned also

Thanks

The best way to play it is like the tribute album and the tribute tab book.

This would have made a nice acoustic (like (GTR) except there would be no end/heavy part to solo. I noticed the same thing when the box set came out. I sat there going, "That isn't how I play it." I collect a lot of randy tab books/Japanese band scores, etc. because I'd look at the tab and it didn't sound exactly the same. They really weren't absolutely correct/perfect either.

I am currently watching 30 years after the Blizzard DVD and WOW - the isolated Revelation Mother Earth classical guitar sounds very 7thy. I also noticed that right after RME, there are some eerie guitar tones and it does not go into Steal away the night but eventually goes in to the "new" RR solo.

"Right after RME" *during what would be the SATN segue-way...

At 37:43 (30YATB DVD) it sounds like a Revelation early demo or an exercise but it would become Revelation Mother Earth.
