Worked on YSIA a little

Post by Cryptic Night »

Long time no see for a lot of you!

I got bored tonight, and had a bad case of insomnia, and I was looking at my youtube page and saw YSIA on there, and gave it a listen. As I was listening to it, I thought "Maybe I could up some frequencies a little and make it better" so that's what I did, and I hope you all like it!

It's in .WAV format, to help preserve the quality if anyone likes it. I bumped up the lower frequencies mainly, and some mids to try to bring the guitar out a little, and threw in a little bit of reverb. I didn't want to add much reverb, but I've always felt like the song was a little "dry" and needed some. I tried to hold back on it though. Let me know what you think of it!

Sounds awesome - great work Cryptic Night!!

This was the song I was really hoping would appear on the 2011 version of BOO. Oh well, maybe for the 50th anniversary?? lol :)

I'm a little shocked they didn't release it when they did the 30th anniversary thing. It's a great performance, and with a little TLC here and there, it'd sound amazing.

Maybe Delores didn't want it re-released or maybe because Bob and Lee were featured on it that they couldn't re-release it without their permission? I have no idea.

"official flogging a dead horse warning": The Randy Rhoads estate, legacy, historical record, and future possibilities have been minimized if not completely destroyed by small foolish selfish minds. I am very sad that that is a true statement.

But, your work with YSIA is fantastic.

Any time! Didn't take me much time at all to work on it, and I think it sounds a little more modern.

Also never noticed there was some keyboard work on it. Sounds like an organ. It's hard to hear, and I can't make out any distinct melody, but I can hear him making noise at least :P
