For the LP he used the stock pickups(still want to know how hot they were)
For the PDV he used DiMarzio SuperDistortion and PAF(although the receit tells me that it had 2 PAFs at first)
For the White Jackson he used Duncan Distortion and Duncan Jazz

I don't know 'bout the black Jackson but I guess it was somewhat
similar to the white one :)

That's pretty interesting.

Although, I heard that he really didn't like the white Jackson and so he may have changed a lot of things on it for the Black one since i've heard that was the one he liked most.

He changed the control configuration, the inlays, from a vintage strat style bridge into a fixed bridge, the body shape, the place where the 3 way switch was, put a scratch plate on and i'm pretty sure he changed the type of wood. He said in the seminar that downtuning the white one gave it a heavier sound (or somthing along these lines) and so maybe it didn't sound heavy enough for him before. I think by the looks of it that the black jackson has a Rosewood fretboard and the white one has an Ebony one. Anyway, what i'm saying is, if he chose to change all these things why wouldn't he have changed the pick ups. I think he may have DiMarzio SuperDistortions in there since that's what he had on the polka dot v and he seemed to play that one a lot, maybe he wanted to get a similar sound to that.

*Moved this topic from the 'Equipment section' to here. :)

If I remember correctly, Randy's mother once said that he loved his Gibson Les Paul the most.
Another indication of that is (just speculation) that he used his Les Paul for the most songs during the concerts. :)
The winner of the rat race is still a rat.
