what happend to all of the germany live recordings
On the metal dens site they have over the mountain live but only that song from Offenbach, Germany on November 9, 1981

They say that only 3 shows have been known to be recorded and that this song is from 1 of those shows

why would they record half of 81 most or all of 80 and all of 82

??why would they not record all or most of the european tour??
Last thing were did this rare recording come from and were are the rest of this show and the other 2 shows

Well i've got Offenbach as a full show and its one of the better boots. You have to remember nearly 80% of the Live recordings are bootlegs and not official sound board recordings. Back in the day if you got caught taping the gig you'd get thrown out of the concert. So it was only people who could smuggling a small tape recorder into the gigs. They then made it onto the buying market as bootlegs then the internet came later. It is not known how many gigs they played during the Saxon 1981 European tour. As we know Ozzy was prone to cancelling gigs and tickets from fans are keep turning up. It can only be confirmed if someone was at the gig or if it has been reviewed in the press. Trigger has more then likely got those shows and if you ask him nicely he may post them up.

I missed the joke, oh well. I have the Germany boot, Offenburg. Over the mountain is played oddly like the 4th or 5th song. I could upload but have no clue how to even though I'm a electronic tech/HVAC tech but I dislike new technology. I like MXR effects - stereo chorus, Flanger, phase 90, etc. as colorization but the distortion plus is way too noisy - Its definitely the chip pan. So, if you want me to download, I need instructions. And bravo to the brave souls who brought their tape recorders. They saw a reason to tape this piece of history, whether it was to make money or it was their favorite band. Most people don't see or understand greatness until someone points it out for them. Some don't see history in the making. For me hearing the Blizzard of Ozz, it was instantaneous and life changing. "Crazy, but that's how it goes."

Look at how many bands cash in on the live recordings. They have the gig on USB stick for you to buy at the end of the gig. Metallica record every show and they're available for download. Thats now, if only it happened back in the 80's we'd have some amazing sound board quality gigs..

I know of only one German show that is available ans the set is an odd one but if I am not mistaken Ozzy was the opening act so perhaps they just played different sets each night and only had the time for a few songs per show, unlike the shows they had been playing in the USA and a year earlier in Britain. I am told most of the Randy shows were recorded but a only a few made it out of the crew and most that we have are audience recordings.

ive heard of 4 or 5 soundboard recorded shows and the rest ar from the crowds

dont get me rong there are some good sounding boots that came from the crowd

I think Ozzy got sick, wasn't it? I only know of the one Germany show. Too bad.
