Ummm, no. They used excessive amounts of keyboards, not backup guitar. We have loads of bootlegs to verify this.

more info about this. in rudy sarzo's book he mentions that don airey learned every song on tour and even learned randy's guitar solo,to add to randy's wall of sound. no rhythm guitar, just keyboards.

If it did come from ozzys book then it might be a lie because you got to rember that ozzy was drunk and stoned 90% of the time back in the 80s

so how would ozzy being drunk make it a lie???? There is a big difference between lying and not really remembering the reality

well ozzy might of been talking about people playing guitar at a sound check or something
if you do not rember something that well and take it out of context than people could see it as a lie
but let me say every thing again i relly did not mean to say he was liying
fact that ozz can rember apollo the first gig of the 2 tours and he can rember randys death but in many interviews ozz cant rember stuf that happened in the middle of the 2 tours is amazing

Randy's magnificent switching between rhythm and lead + the use of effects might give the impression of two guitars but they did not use a backing track.. But it is a very nice compliment if people thought there were two tracks

I can tell you're only young aren't you??? dude I have never had an alcohol problem but I have mass memory loss of things that happened 10yrs ago let alone 25-30yrs ago...and i'm only 41. So the fact ozzy his almost drunk himself to death and is 20yrs+ older than me he's doing well to remember how to tie his own laces let alone little train spotting details of his life

I read this and stared trying to remember when
I was 41 and found it difficult!

Trying to remember details of the day before yesterday is difficult sometimes, now imagine living on a bus and living gig to gig! Musicians are incredible people imo.
