Randy's Marshall
I know that everywhere says that Randy used 1959 slp's which were his black marshalls. Lately I have noticed that if that were the case then it would have been rehoused in the mk2 head as it has the larger logo and the white piping as well as the block light up switch as opposed to the silver switches and indicator light that is found on the 1959 slp's. Does anyone know if it was rehoused or why it has a different shell than a normal slp?

Re: Randy's Marshall
These were Marshalls from the transition period in the late seventies. (old 'plexi' style JTM/MK2/JMP => jcm800 style)

Hey Dutchman you're probably the person to ask: what tubes did Randy have in his Marshalls? Or his ”main” amp? I thought I read somewhere they were (or might have been) KT77's? Is that possible?

The white Marshall Randy had (according an engineer from Marshall who examined it) had GT-6CA7 tubes in it. (big bottle EL34 tubes)camdenlp wrote:Hey Dutchman you're probably the person to ask: what tubes did Randy have in his Marshalls? Or his ”main” amp?
