Re: Record Store Day Special Release 4/21/12
I'm thinkin' you have to go ON record store day to buy it. After that, it will probably be available of sites and like ebay. I went around last year and bought a few Flying high again singles. I never sold any, just gave some out for birthdays to friends. I even bought the UK version. I don't think they were limited to 500. I just liked going to a store to buy a Randy/Ozzy release. I remember buying the BOO and DOAM LP's at stores in 1981. Maybe the polka dot pic disc will be "Rarer" or is it a picture sleeve? I'm guessing the vinyl (Live 2LP) is the new show or Tribute.

Re: Record Store Day Special Release 4/21/12
I think I posted this info in the Record Store Day thread. Just in case, for those who missed it, the Believer vinyl single is limited to 4,400 in the U.S. The double live vinyl LP will be released on RSD first, then later on it will be available in ALL stores. So, the single will be a rare item and the double LP will be not be as much. Unless they only make so many copies of the double Live LP. Not everyone is collecting vinyl again like I am.
I'm just a little surprised the live album is not giving more info. Is it definitely the shows from the box set or is it another new release? I'm assuming it's the box set live version, but you never know.

Whats the Goodbye to Romance LIVE? GTR wasn't on the new OZZY LIVE CD.

I'm not sure. The official list mentions a double live LP, but doesn't mention Believer as live. There is no detailed info about these two releases. Someone may have luck contacting Columbia records. Is Columbia part of Sony? We'll find out very soon, as it's in a couple weeks.axeman_12656 wrote:Madman56 wrote:Format: 7" black and white polka dot vinyl (symbolic of Randy Rhoads' guitar)

Just found this online today. Not sure if this is the legit cover or not. I think the vinyl itself is going to be black with white polka dots. I thought it was going to be on the packaging like that. I emailed RSD about some info. Not sure when or if they will answer.

Re: Record Store Day Special Release 4/21/12
Gaw! (Just creamed my jeans). I'm a sucker for new Randy/Ozzy releases!
I'd have to say Tribute for the live GTR only because both songs are on it live. Which I would guess would promote the 2 LP live although Tribute has been available on vinyl since it came out. I would love the entire South Hampton '80 but c'mon I think there would be more adieu for it. Not gonna get my hopes up this time.

Although Believer IS live, GTR could be the remix (vocal & guitar)... Just a thought.

Re: Record Store Day Special Release 4/21/12
I've read on many sites that GTR is the guitar/vocal version, BUT on the RSD site it states both songs are from the live LP. I just don't know why they won't post any info and why no one will respond about it. Maybe it's just one of those times when they want people to wait for the actual release because it is so limited.hansolo wrote:Although Believer IS live, GTR could be the remix (vocal & guitar)... I don't think it could be the Tribute album because they have been releasing many single albums on double vinyl for better quality. This may just be the live album from the box set. If it IS, than why wasn't the vinyl version included in the box, to keep the price down? If it was Tribute, I'm sure they would have mentioned that. Goodbye to Romance wasn't on that box set live version because it was supposed to be mixed shows from the Blizzard tour. I think I'll just wait and see.
I think I would soil myself if it ended up being South Hampton or a whole new show!
