SATO Live?

Post by quinnsryche »

New here so forgive me if this has been asked a million times before. Is there ANY audio of Randy playing SATO live? Great site and glad to have found it. Randy is my favorite guitarist ever and has been since I first heard him.

There is no live version of this song sadly... Great tune with a great solo, the only one in standard tuning of that record I think.

There are most likely for the most part love songs of every song they made together on Bob Daisly's tapes. He had hinted around and answered with a stout yes many times if there are live versions of songs we have never heard yet. That's about all he says though, never names a name though. But he recorded everything it seems so I imagine he has most songs live in whatever form(suicide demo)

I wish they would've played that. It's one of the best songs. It cuts you like a knife.

Thanks guys. Sad news, I'd give anything to just hear it live once in my life. It's not only my favorite Randy song, it's my favorite song period! It's the best guitar song ever recorded in my opinion.

Welcome, Quinnsryche! Awesome username!

Completely agree about this song - one of the group's best! I would love to hear it live as well! My guess is Ozzy couldn't remember the lyrics live, that's why they didn't play this. Look at how he screwed up "Over the Mountain" live.

Man that song defies categorization. The best energetic guitar song ever recorded. It's like all the ingredients in one song. Perfect setup for the last hoorah from Master Rhoads. The harmonic whammy move after the solo and those anguished fills. DAMMMM IT!!!!!!! Why why why lord! That song is my most repeated track listen and I'm proud to say I know it note for note but I still hear things I don't know when I listen with earphones. The songs like some creature forming in the sky, then screaming down into the world, laying waste then looking back to see if any fake asses survived the attack, then seeing that all is well it takes on the theme in the intro and flies back to where it came from. Heaven. Nothing to see here folks, back to the woodshed to ponder what you just took in. Lol. Mim so glad I found this site. true fans!!

I know there is no Randy versions but there maybe a Joey Holmes w/Ozzy in 95/96 version they used to do a medley and would change it up. I think Diary was in it. I remember first there was a track listing in the Japanese version of Ozzy greatest hits (Ozzman cometh) and then I heard a few boots. I have an entire show on reel to reel (radio station deal) from that era. Not on that track listing. Anyone?
