Classic Rock Magazine- Randy Rhoads

Post by Ace5150 »

OK, over the course of the day, I'll be scanning and uploading this excellent magazine.
This is the cover on the 'envelope' of the magazine, the Randy Rhoads 1956-1982 is in gold, so doesn't show up THAT well on the scan.
Also, the 'envelope' is slightly larger than an A4 size, so couldn't fit the whole image on, BUT at the bottom where its highlighted 'The Drugs! The Punch-Ups!' has another line of 'The Full Untold Story!'
As yet, I haven't read any of it yet, but I'm guessing $haron might have overseen this before publication, as if you remember, Bob and Lees' story that was due to be published in Classic Rock when the re-issued CDs came out last year, suddenly got pulled.
Anyway, here's the first cover shot................bear with me, I'll include everything!

And there you have it, the article in its entirety. If I have infringed copyright, feel free to delete it..........after a few days so other fans can have a free viewing to decide if they want to purchase the magazine.
I found it avid reading about his family life..............the other stuff is pretty much common knowledge..........but I didn't know he was a train collector.

Thanks for posting that... after all these years there isn't much new to learn about randy in an article like that, but I do like to read them.

When I read the part about Steve Miller's Swingtown, I stopped reading, found the mp3 of it and listened as I read. I'll be damned,,, the chord progression does sound like the verse of Crazy Train!

I got myself a copy of this today & I wasn't impressed with the way the Rhoads are plugging themselves. It's like missing children on milk cartons, If an article is going to be in a major magazine Kelle gets tp plug his back catalogue and Kathy gives the RR winery a plug. Fans are quick enough to chastise anyone who is making a fast buck on a RR bootleg or a photograph etc. But why do they have to use Randy like free loading advert. It boils my piss for Kelle to include a RR guitar solo on his work. WHY?? does he not just go ahead and do his thing without trying to cash in on his bro's fame ?. God help the legacy when Delores isn't here... I can see RR memorabilia auctions and his bedroom on youtube.

The guitar solo doesn't bother me. We want to hear things he did that we haven't heard. I wanna hear demos out takes ect... the wine I didn't understand.
