The post seems to have quickly disappeared though, so I'm not sure if Ross had a change of heart (no doubt after the hate mail started flooding his inbox), or if he stepped up the fight and threatened legal action against discussing it on there.

Ross Halfin
Just saw a notice at the Randy Rhoads Society on Facebook today that Ross Halfin demanded that they remove all of his images, even though they had give full credit to him on each one and linked to his site to help promote him and his business, all without any monetary gain from the images whatsoever. I know, I know... it's his work, he has the right, blah, blah, blah.... but, seriously??!
I love how he states on his site that he's a humanitarian... what a douche bag! Now I understand why Kerrang called him 'Gross Halfwit'.

The RR Facebook folks may not have received any monetary gain, but what about those who took the FB pictures, printed them and sold them on eBay?
Re: Ross Halfin
They have? I haven't seen them on there. Not much of a print with a 500 pixel wide jpeg image as the source I would imagine.

No, they'd be the worst prints to look at.Whipper wrote:They have? I haven't seen them on there. Not much of a print with a 500 pixel wide jpeg image as the source I would imagine.

Well, maybe people wouldn't steal the photos if they were made more affordable. I think it sucks that images are sold illegally, but when I asked Ross how much his poster prints of Randy were he replied with, "They are all $1,500.00, no less." Even if I could afford that easily, I don't think I could pay that much for a print, regardless of the quality. It's a concert photo, not a painting. After all that I was able to buy a shirt for $25.00. *shrugs*

I dont have a problem with what a photog charges but i wonder how many 1500$ posters he s ever sold,if any at all?I mean he s an 80s guy.I can beleive that a guy like jim marshall sells a ton of posters at 1500 but his subject matters were 1960s legendary icons not juvenile 1980s rockers(motley poo,def leppard).
