By change of guard could that mean until someone either than Mrs.Rhoads has ownership of Randys name? Im not saying anything for sure but Im personally thinking that once Kelle likely gets Randys name things may change...

Thats one way of looking at it.

I see it more like:
Just be patient. Let families deal with their losses. When the time is right, your wishes will be granted. We are going to stick to the families wishes until they feel that time has come. What happened was a tragic event. Let those that suffered, deal with it in the way only they can choose to deal with it.

I was all for more footage, until I met Mrs Rhoads. She was happy and cheerful, talking about Randy and his fans. She mentioned a japanese fan with a tattoo of the 'RR' logo. I pulled up my sleeve to show her mine (a portrait), without telling her that I had one. Her expression said it all. I immediately felt her pain. I wished I hadn't done that.

Then, a few years later we met again after I built the bass for Kelly Garni. The deal was always that I would only build that bass, if the family gave him the ok. Hell, from what I was told, they suggested me! On the day I met her I was informed she hadn't been told until only a few hours prior. Once again, it didnt feel right. Mrs Rhoads and Kelle R were wonderful hosts. They should have been given time to adjust to it all.

Imagine Mrs Rhoads seeing her beloved son, without a care in the world, in some footage from way back when. Imagine the thought of people fighting over that footage, doing everything they can to get hold of it. She owes us nothing, she's given us everything.

The Rhoads FAMILY isn't "holding up" ANY footage from seeing the light of day.

That's utter and complete NONSENSE.

Didn't she also say they were sitting on tons of stuff they couldn't use?

The shots with ozzy in full white are from the new york palladium night 1 I believe the full footage has been around on YouTube for years

The second night of the new york palladium just magically appeared in the 30 box set

I am very thankfully that we have footage from both nights

But once you have a little of something you want more

:D

Palladium shows were both on the same night, not separate nights

It's definitely the Palladium(5-2-81), I attended both shows that night. We had tickets for the 1st show. It kicked so much ass, we climbed the fire escape and greased the palm of a bouncer & got in for the second show, which also kicked major ass!

How much of the Palladium set is in the 30th anniversary box set? Is it the whole set or just 1 song, or a few songs? If it's the whole set I may just have to track it down, lol. If it's just the songs you can see on youtube, I'll pass. Any answers would be appreciated.

I had heard that the guy who taped the Palladium shows, passed a cleaned up version to Sharon(don't know how true that is though). I would love to see the show again.

Can someone post the pictures of the Pheonix Bros footage? I can only find two of them and this collage someone made.

I've tried Googling but like I said, only found two of them.
