The RR 'bonus' track guitar solo

Not sure about this at all, and PLEEEASE don't flame me, but I have a few doubts.
OK, when I played it, thought it wasn't as fluent and smooth as other Rhoads solos, but as it was an exclusive, I let that go.
However, I put it on my iPod through iTunes and my doubts resurfaced.
The Blizzard of Ozz was downloaded no problem, BUT when I came to play it, the album had ALL tracks EXCEPT the RR track. I tried downloading again, and same thing happened..........it appears the RR track WON'T copy as a Blizzard of Ozz track, although the other bonus tracks of You Looking At Me Looking At You and the acoustic Goodbye to Romance WILL.
The RR track DOES download, but is titled as Randy Rhodes............NOT Rhoads.
Now, considering this has been several years in the making with legalities and production, you'd think they would have at least spelt Randys name correctly! I remember when I got the Tribute LP and was appalled at some of the photographs that were featured, especially the 'back-to-front' picture of Randy and his guitars that looked left handed! You'd think they'd learn from that! His legacy should be treated with respect!
Im of the opinion that the RR track ISN'T included on the Blizzard download for legal reasons, hence the mis-spelt name.
I also believe that whilst the original music WAS Randy, the solo we get is a cut and paste job from out-takes and warm-ups before recording, and put together as a solo, but as they might be mis-jointed, they might have another player re-work the piece, hence the mis-spelling and ultimately 'not as fluent and smooth' as other pieces of Randys work.
Honestly, I'm NOT trying to open a can of worms, nor looking to open a heated debate with sarcastic replies due my way (I'm sure of that!), but does anyone else see my point?

Uhm? I have heard it once and it clearly had the RR stamp on it. IMO if you are thinking this is somebody else playing RR his solo, you are going way to far with this

Yeah, that's the itunes "Gracenote" program that finds artist names/album titles for you when you put a disc in.
Thanks to Sharon's tampering in '02, fans have now become skeptical and over-analyzing, (and perhaps a bit paranoid), about the validity of these new recordings.
Rejoice in the fact that we got to hear something brand-spanking-new that may have been previously heard by Max and Randy only!
Same goes for the new audio. I expected the material to be analyzed a great deal...this is a fan site after all, but not to the point where folks are feeling like they're being deceived.
It could very well be all we're getting...may as well enjoy it.

Thanks for NOT flaming me. Someone else mentioned on a thread that he has a gut feeling and feels its a Zakk homeage to his idol with the full backing of the Osbourne estate.
Hope I haven't started a conspiracy now!

I know Sharon is the all powerful Oz, but I don't know if the Rhoads family would let something like that fly either. Somehow, someway they had to give their ok on this material.
I don't know if Zakk would do something like that, leading the fans on and I think he has far too much respect for his hero and the Rhoads family as well.
He's come the closest to being Randy that anyone, (by that I mean standing in the man's place on stage and playing his parts.), but he no longer is employed by them, so it's not as though he has to do what the Osbournes say.
Watching his part in the doc, he spoke only of Randy and Randy's playing. I can't even recall if he mentioned Ozzy's name?
On a side note, it was nice to see Zakk looking healthy. Hopefully, he's doing ok with staying sober.

I haven't listened to the solo a million times but from what I've heard it sounds 100 percent like Randy, there are all kinds of Randy licks and juts thing that sound like something he would play. The picking and phrasing are all Randy, I don't think at all this is Zakk.

Maybe it's just throwing people, as it's been the same 19 songs for the past three decades. I remember how the Dee out-take on Tribute seemed alien to me, as I was accustomed to hearing it one way since first hearing it six years earlier in '81.

I still find it odd that absolutely nowhere in this entire box set is there any representation from the Rhoads family. Why not? Not a single word. Not a single written sentence.
Folks, Ozzy and Sharon are WAY different people than they were in 87'...
They are CELEBRITIES now...
I know Ozzy will always have a love for Randy. But Sharon OBVIOUSLY doesn't care about Randy or his legacy if she's out there saying she slept with him (in interviews).

yes, that was another thing that irritated me, not a single acknowledgement, considering Tribute was dedicated to Delores.
Lots of 'Thanks' to people I haven't even heard of!!

Fuck with all the bitching from people who probably didn't buy the Box set I wouldn't get involved with it either! The family knows about the set- if there were problems they have lawyers too. Keep bitching about the osbournes because they did screw us by giving us the biggest RR package EVER!! The set is for us diehards in case you didn't figure it out.
And who do you think is going to save the PM doc. and get it released-me?-you? The OSBOURNES working with the RHOADS. All this pissing and moaning is fuckin sad. Maybe in another 30 years someone will release more and deal with the BS-I'll be 70 by then can't wait.

wouldn't that be great, but use the RR recording like looped or something and not have it rerecorded.
i could see ozzy doing that as a part of something next year, as a tribute to randy

maybe it was a song that they editing to be short and like a solo, but ozz didn't release it as a song because he didn't want the bass and drums on it to have to pay bob and lee? the ending kinda sounds like they cut it in the studio as opposed to randy actually stopping

i disagree strongly. if he was just jamming blowing off steam or so on.. when a guitar player is jamming it almost always in on a chord like that.
