Which performances are on the Live CD?
A fun game for us Randy fans!
Let's try to figure out which shows each song was taken from:
I Don't Know - ??
Crazy Train - August 28th 1981 - Circle Theater, Indianapolis, IN (dannyahansen)
Believer - ??
Keyboard intro (first 54 seconds) - Southampton, October 2, 1980 (Flying Dutchman)
Keyboard intro (after 54 seconds) -
Mr. Crowley -
Flying High Again - Montreal, July 28, 1981 (my guess)
Revelation - ??
Steal Away - August 28th 1981 - Circle Theater, Indianapolis, IN (dannyahansen)
Suicide Solution - ??
Guitar Solo - Southampton, October 2, 1980 (Flying Dutchman)
Iron Man - ??
Children of the Grave - ??
Paranoid - ??

I'am pretty surry the Spotlight solo is from the first 1980 tour, it's very much like the Manchester, Chelmford versions. Knowing Southampton was recorded pro, I took the freedom to fill that in already.
The winner of the rat race is still a rat.

I really dont think RME is from Montreal. In fact, it's absolutely not from Montreal IMO. I dont know where it IS from, but I know the Montreal show extremely well. This isnt it.
I really REALLY want to know where the hell they got this from. It isnt anything I have ever heard before. How could they have had this all these years and not released it? And even better, how was this not released instead of the Cleveland show for Tribute?? Crazy.

EDIT: nevermind. FHA is from Montreal. It isnt as bass-heavy and it's cleaned up just a tiny bit, but this is KBFH. I agree with you, OP.

I've been listening to the samples on iTunes... the vocals on the live CD sound like they were done in the studio. i don't know how they did it (because Ozzy's vocal range is nowhere near what itonce was), but that is not live... in fact, listen to Paranoid real close, the words "occupy my brain" is an overdub.
None-the-less... this is an OUTSTANDING live CD, better than Tribute and Speak of The Devil IMO

maybe back in 87' they did vocal overdubs for several live shows. then picked the performance that would ultimately be Tribute.

Ya but Ozzy flubbed the lyrics on Believer. I'm sure they would have fixed that back in 87 when they were doing Tribute.AndrewT1976 wrote:maybe back in 87' they did vocal overdubs for several live shows. then picked the performance that would ultimately be Tribute.

The more tracks I listen to here, the more I really wonder where the hell they came from. Seriously, what's going on here??? Im loving it, but what am I hearing???
I'd almost suspect it wasnt Randy, that we had been duped, but I know his technique too well, and it's definitely him. Some odd note choices for him, but DEFINITELY his technique.

Well, one good thing out of this who scenario...we have another GREAT live performance, and also it gives us hope for future live performances to be released with quality that is just as good.
Re: Which performances are on the Live CD?
I think they did some sort of fake doubletracking on ozzys vox.
