For those of you who have been here a long time you guys will remember Dave jackura aka wyldeone, He was a true Randy fan who sadly passed away a few years ago. Seeing all the boxset stuff just reminded me of this sad time. Dave would have absolutely loved this stuff , but sadly passed away before it all came out.
So this is for you mate.
Rest in Peace, we miss you here over at UR.
Its taken 30 years but we now have the footage we've longed for.
Say hi to Randy for us.
jas.

Sadly I did not know about his death until now, I must have missed it in the forums. I read his RIP topic (
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=4428 ) and this is indeed a good moment to remember him. He was definitly thrilled like the rest of us about the new RR footage, probably even more...
Thank you for your contributions to the RR community.
Rest in peace Dave

Thank you for remembering Dave, Jason. I'd like to think that he's getting daily performances by Randy now.

Yeah Dave was a good guy, i never met him but he was a great internet buddie. We shared the same taste in music and my hobbie of collecting Rock memorabilia. We would compare signatures and give advice on Randy Rhoads signatures. Recognising fakes and giving each other the heads up when they would become available on ebay. We would respect each other and not outbid each other on auctions etc. That Ozzy postcard you have Zennman i showed that to Dave and he said it was 100% genuine. So he went ahead and bid on that and won it. I remember it was originaly dedicated 'To Dorothy', Dave had the dedication removed. I was on the look out for a set of Thin Lizzy '70's line up' signatures for Dave but sadly he didn't get them.
I think the box set should be played for Dave and everyone who was his friend here. Cheers to Dave your a big miss here

+1

I also think about the probably many more anonymous RR fans who would loved to see it but passed away too early........
