As for the live audio disc, I've head it isn't Tribute or the King Biscuit show as a guy who says he is familiar with both informed me. (Said it sounded similar though sonically, so I am wondering if maybe it is Montreal but has a new sound on it like "Tribute" did.) It isn't Southhampton either as most of us know already and the reason that was listed early on I've heard is because it was intended but when things with somebody fell through it was scrapped. Don't know how true that is but that is what I've heard.
According to Rudy's book this show was recorded live on the us blizz tour... August 28th - Circle Theater, Indianapolis, IN
He reveals this on page 121-122. Wow that would definately be cool to hear a new show!!!!!!! Might be more life to this boxset then we know..Afterall Ozzy supposedly hated the montreal show. If this show is the live audio in the boxset it would almost makeup for the Southampton show being removed. We have some of the songs from Southampton but we have nothing from this show.

A new show we haven't heard, that would be awesome indeed! Great find Don!
I checked "Off the Rails" (2nd edition 2006) and couldn't find anything about it on page 121/122 but I quote what's on page 133:
Rudy Sarzo's book 'Off the Rails' wrote:The next morning, August 28th, we arrived at the Hilton in Indianapolis, Indiana. That evening's show was the shabby Circle Theater in downtown Indianapolis. Ironically, we were more excited about going to see the Jackson 5 perform that evening at the nearby Market Square Arena than we were about re-recording our own live broadcast. We pushed our showtime forward and blazed through the set so we could at least catch the last few songs of their set.
Re-recording our own live broadcast......
Has that show been broadcasted then?
mmm.... remember buying 'Indianapolis' boots long ago and everytime it turned out to be the same 'damn' Montreal '81 show I already had...., also Montreal is from July 28th, and Indianapolis is from August 28th, so both shows were recorded at the 28th, coincidence? Was Montreal confused with Indianapolis? We'll see. Hope I'm wrong and we'll get a new show in the box!

Here is the quote right before your quote, my book is the 2nd edition too and its on page 121..weird? Anyways here is what he said.
"On the afternoon of august 27th we checked into the Holiday Inn in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Before our evening's performance at the Foellenger Theatre there were major storms brewing in our dressing room as Ozzy and Sharon battled overissues regarding the following night's rescheduled live recording."

Pat, I was thinking the exact same thing RE: Indianapolis. Rudy's book, at least the first edition, seemed to have a few 'facts' that were pretty well known mis-informations. I would bet the show is the same situation and that it is indeed Montreal. I'd love for it to be a new show but as a hardcore fan, we seem to be way ahead of the curve on most stuff. It'll be nice to have something official regardless.
Started listening to the Crowley EP again after all these years. Listening to it and the two tracks on Tribute has made the removal of the South Hampton disc from the teaser all the harder to take. The band sounded great and his guitar tone was awesome.

and Donnie, I'd much rather your scenario be right. That's what I'm hoping for.

That quote in the book I have is also on page 133, I wouldn't expect the same edition would differ that much, weird indeed....

I think that makes sense Darin, Rudy probably mixed up some things in his book. In this case he probably confused the month (July vs August) since both gigs were one the 28th. I thought the word 're-recording' was a bit odd in the quote I posted, but after reading the quote in Don's last post he probably meant 're-scheduled live recording' by that, that makes more sense.
Though I have some questions:
-what date (not to confuse with the gig date) was the Cleveland show broadcasted?
-and what date was Montreal broadcasted on radio?

just read this at tk thanks iron!!!! Alright, here's the update. I just got off the phone and had a listen to the show in question. Granted I had a not-so great connection and it was hard to hear clearly on alot of stuff, but I'll tell you that the live show in the boxset is NOT Cleveland or Montreal (ie-neither of the two radio broadcasts we've had for 30 years). I had him skip to certain telltale parts that would alert me to any parts I had heard a million times before on those other two shows and was pleasantly surprised there were none. I couldn't hear Ozzy too well but was told that it sounded like the vocals may have been redone. Anyway, during Randy's spotlight solo he does a little bit of Quiet Riot-era solo stuff that he did at a few shows on the 81 tour. I almost thought it may have been a 1980 gig as parts of the solo sounded similar to some of those solos but it's not. Some of Ozzy's song intros were different too than Cleveland and Montreal so I know it's neither of those, even though I know Ozzy dubbed some new chat into the "Tribute" show. I can't be 100% sure if it's a show that we have already in bootleg form but it is professionally recorded from what I heard so it has a better sound than any of the audience boots. Before anyone thinks it is a board tape from Tommy's or Chuck Weisner's (soundman) collection, I think not as that would be a soundboard mix and things would have been bleeding into the vocals and stuff. This sounded pro. So that is GOOD news!
As for "You Looking At Me, Looking At You", there was no cowbell that I heard and no count-off at the start.
The Goodbye To Romance" extra is just the album version with the bass and drums removed, kind of like what Kevin Dubrow did with "Afterglow Of Your Love" on the "Randy Rhoads: The Quiet Riot Years" CD but without any extra guitar work.
So that's all I have at the moment on it. Hope that eases some concern about the live show; it did for me.

I truely hope this is a new live show because since it became clear that Southampton was out of the boxset I have lost interest in it! I really hope it is sometjhing new and I do wonder how much they recorded that we don't know about.

It'll probably leak in a few weeks along with the footage, then we'll be able to tell if its new or not.

Donnie, however many shows Ozzy has recorded from 1980-Mar/1982 I believe that the O's will release them in the next few years because whatever quality they will have a market and Randys profile will grow in the coming years.
I still feel gutted that Southampton isn't first to be released because although I am not a fan of early shows this is the only way to really be critical of the 1980 band in a constructive way.

Well if someone with the knowledgde of Iron can confirm it's neither Montreal or Cleveland than my theory (Rudy mixing up two shows: Indianapolis vs Montreal ) must be wrong. And of course I don't mind! This is wonderful news and makes the box even more interesting! (maybe it's the audio of one of those shows Dave Tangye mentioned being pro-filmed?)
*btw tell Iron that I will
kill him if it turns out to be that old 'damn' Montreal show though!
