You Said It All
Does anyone know a little history about this tune?
I heard that it was recorded "live" at a soundcheck, and later on the audience noise was added. Was this a commen song they played during soundcheck? Do other versions exist? So, in essence, it was TRULY a track in-between BOO and Diary that never made it on either record - or even more - was never officially recorded in a studio?

Re: You Said It All
yep it was at southampton the whole show isn't available it was released as an EP more specifically "Mr Crowley EP" rumors say that Randy recorded the solo on his practice amp in the tour bus. The EP has Mr Crowley(live in southampton), Suicide Solution(live in southampton), and You Said it All (soundcheck in southampton) and the whole southampton show might be released with the new ozzy box set coming out in may

Theres actuallya good story about that song in one of the Bob Daisely interviews on Youtube.
He says that they wrote & recorded it during soundcheck,Lee had a Mic & came up w/the vocal melodies while Ozz was Passed out Dunk under the Drum Riser! They made a Tape & at the Hotel Bob wrote the Lyrics to Lees melodies & Ozzy sang them Later that night.
(This makes me think this May be why it wasnt included,Lee wrote it & mabey Ozzy never cared for the song??)
And an interesting story about that (froom Kevin DuBrow) was that Randy had recorded the Solo afterwards Direct into the board from his "ChipPan" & you can really hear the Direct sound on that Solo.

Re: You Said It All
i have that Mr. Crowley picture disc w/ it. it's still one of my favorite Randy/Ozzy tunes.
Re: You Said It All
Is the sound of the cd better then any of the vinyl rips we have or is it equally as 'tinny'? , i may hunt a cd of it down online to go with my 3/4 vinyl versions of it.hansolo wrote:YOU SAID IT ALL WAS RELEASED ON CD! I actually have Mr. Crowley Live on tape if you can believe it. Got it back around 1999-2000 because I had ditched my Mr. Crowley Live Picture Disk (Duh!), then bought an album copy of it from England shortly thereafter. Nice to be able to listen to those songs from an analog source without all the crackles and pops of vinyl.

Re: You Said It All
Thanks for posting the Daisley interview link. Never knew that You Lookin' At Me was one of the first tunes they wrote as a band. Anyone know what the very first tune they wrote was?

It's been said that Lee wrote the vocal melody, but I find it funny that the melody sounds very much like Ozzy did it. Just goes to show how much BOO was a band effort more than anything.
