Rare Suicide Solution

Post by GUITARIDOL5682 »

Is this new ? iv'e never heard this before. Someone posted up the link on Bob Daisley's FB. Bob recognised this from the time the band rehearsed in a studio at London. This is what he had to say. " That's us at a rehearsal studio in London writing Suicide Solution. Lee hadn't yet joined us and I hadn't written the lyrics at that point, Ozzy was just singing anything that came into his head"

So it could be Barry Scrannage on the drums and it possibly could of come from him. As i know he sold some of his tapes at a specialist auction a few years ago.

I had that 15 years ago but i haven't heard it since then. Frankie Banali told me once that the jam sessions of him with ozzy and randy were recorded and i told him i had something that could be him.. he was very interested so i mailed him a CD wth this on it. He hasn't spoke to me since lol I don't know.

That was released on Chelmsford Complete. It was from my tape. The middle sounds like early Quiet Riot. It was from Bob's tapes, there is talking at the end. It was not Frankie Banali on drums unless Frankie was over in England as Ozzy's early drummers. And you emailed him the CD and hasn't spoken since? Nice guy.

Wow,THANK YOU IDOL!!!! Its such a coincidence because I was Just Listening to this yesterday

And how come its the Only Song from this "Jam Session" to Surface????
And who was on it,because it IS NOT LEE but it is Indeed Randy & Ozz & Not some bullshit Fake/Mislabeled copy of some kids Covering Ozzy.

Second Fun Fact here though if any of you guys hadnt noticed or Realized
The Second Riff they Go Into during the Change is the Backing Riff from the
No Bone Movies Solo section!!

it depends where you got it from. hansolo's Chemsford Complete is still floating around. I took that and cleaned it up a while back. It's posted in the audio section here. If the links are down, pm me.

This is what was on the Chelmsford complete cd if you note the tracks that have been added are mentioned at the foot note.

Definitely a better copy than I'd heard in the past...

This shows why hearing Bob's tape would be SO cool! Hearing the 'work in progress' versions of songs would be priceless... Ozzy obviously had the melody down for this song, but Bob and Randy were still working on the arrangement. I remember asking Bob about how much arranging of Randy's parts he did and he said he did a fair amount. I mentioned Bob as the seasoned pro working with Randy on arrangements in another thread, and this shows it, I believe.

Randy definitely sounds like he's still in Quiet Riot mode here.

The switch at 1:23 sounds like its to something similar to what became the rhythm section to the No Bone Movies solo, to me. Kind of cool to hear bits and pieces of songs like that, in infancy- Jason Becker's outtake stuff he's released over the years is much the same way.
