does anybody know what happend to all the pro... footage of ozzy and randy shows? I myself have bought dvds on ebay and for the most part its of poor quality- to moderate quality. But! in some of the news footage and/or segment footage there is awesome on stage video of ozzy and randy playing. Everythings close up and its awesome hahaha does anyone know anything about what im sayin? WE NEED GOOD LIVE OZZY AND RANDY VIDEO !!!! IF ITS OUT THERE RELEASE IT FOR GOD SAKE! ITS BEEN ALMOST 30 YRS!!!

there is amazing video from the speak of the devil show with brad gillis sooooooooo its not hard to believe that somewhere there is similiar rhoads footage.

Let's not shit all over the newbs and make it a hostile environment. Welcome Shayno... No one has a clue as to when it's coming out. Last rumour we heard was April '11. Whether that comes to fruition is anyone's guess. I know longer hold my breath.

No,No,No!! If your new to the forum here as I assume you are? Hes just not filled in on all the Drama and BS involved in his Question.Like Ive said Many times before,there are ALOT more Randy fans than the ones who are involved in theese forums & prob dont even Know about them.This guy has said hes bought Videos on E-bay ,so I assume hes a Genuine Randy fan?
But to answer your Question-because its not so simple & Black & white
As far as the "General Public" knows,or is informed of there is as far as Ozzy & Randy Pro-Shot
Only the 4 songs from Afterhours (which is a small studio & while techincaly Live) I dont consider it live because Ozzy & Randy had a Amazing Live chemestry on stage!!
And then during the Diary Tour Sharon allowed one of each of the "Major Networks"
ABC,CBS & NBC's various programs film a few songs for their segment on Ozzys tour
Two on the Town,Entertainment Tonight & Rock Report. Theese too arnt Live but rather dress rehearsals for the Diary Tour.But Pro-shot on camera & edited to look live!
Now outside that there is the soundcheck footage which surfaced around 2004.that is Pro-shot
Then there are the 2 1/2 songs from NY in may of 81 & 4 1/2 songs from Chicago Jan 82 on the Diary tour which are both Amateur Bootleg,but Awsome nonetheless!!
And there are a few other "Offstage" clips like backstage at HeavyMetal Hollucost & a clip of randy saying Happy Birthday on Sharons A&E Biography,

As for this "Live Pro Footage weve all been hearing about,Ive been waiting 25 years myself & Im 31!! But it seems anyone who knows wont talk even a Hint??

Judging by the Little clip in the Trailer-was ale to Locate the ET "Master Tape" footage & God only knows what else!!!!!!!! The weird thing is that after 3 years in production Peter Finally got around to interviewing Ozzy for said documentary & days after his Pics of him w/Ozzy turned up online,Ozzy Tweeted Or Twittered or whatever youcall it,I dunno??
Anyway,Ozzy said "Just saw Never before seen footage of me & Randy live in 81,will release later this year" Since then its been a Guessing game of what show Venue tour ect.ect.ect.
But Ozzy said "Im not sure,I think its a very early NY show"
Sharon said "We have Two Shows,& another film of Randy"
& Zakk said "it is a small venue,no castle stage,looks like a rehearsal but its Live"
Last May Sharon said that the 30th Anniversary editions would be out by Thanksgivng,then by the time Thanksgiving came around they were Postponed until?????
Then there are the Brothers from Arizona whom appearently have Two Silent Color Super 8 Films from the diary tour & I guess also one from Blizzard?? But anyone who may know seems to have lost contact w/them & they appearently dont want to share theese Priceless works w/the world.....but who knows,mabey there was some kinda agreement made w/the Osbournes???They run a Very Tight ship so anyone who may know prob legaly cant talk.

To me,I'd Love to see a set of each the Original & the US touring Band!!
But,who knows??My guess is when Sharon said Two shows & Ozzy said "I think NY"
is that the NY Palladium was a Double set one at 8 & one at 11 were Sold-Out way in advance
& it just seems logical that they would film both sets if they were to film one??
But thats just my Guess.So Keep em crossed HOPEFULLY it will surface this year!!!!!!!
I'd really hate to see it get pushed back to 3-19-2012 as some feel seems fitting,but if its a Blizzard/Diary 30th Annivesary It should be out this year.

as for RR Quiet Riot footage-there is about 20-30 mins of various Super 8 footage w/sound
a news segment and about a Half dozen Pro-shot Gigs at the Starwood & Whiskey,& a News segment.Check out my Youtube page as I have made ALOT of RR related Videos editing together clips from ALL of the Available footage.....& welcome to the Forum!

Ive been checking Google Often for ANY information or Update on theese 30th anniversary Versions w/Bob & Lees performances retored! And Video,Im looking forward to the Demos of Crazy Train & Goodbye to Romance almost as much!! But Nothing besides the Japan release dates & then their indefinate push back date??

To answer your question:
First, the Osbournes would love to release any Randy footage/audio, they really do! Hence they made the announcement about releasing footage. They wouldn't do that if they wanted to hide things. But unfortunately something happened afterwards.....
I think we have the idiotic situation now that probably one person (you guess who...) is saying "NO" again. (that person is not $haron) Out of respect for the person who is saying "NO", people (including the O's) rather keep things silence. That's why there is all that secrecy. And this idiotic situation already last for decades, nobody never seems to know something....... It must be very hard as welll for those involved who know what's out there and can't do anything about this situation...... I guess it really doesn't make anyone happy.

To me there are two tragedies in the RR story:
-first the crash
-secondly the way Randy's legacy has been handled (read: suffocated) after he died, this last tragedy just continues.....

I know these type of questions have been asked a thousand times around here but DMRX is right, for someone new who hasnt been here before then its may not be common knowledge, but well said mate.
Maybe thats what we need is a comprehensive FAQ section, i know we have the search option but the basic out line to all these hot top threads should be done with links to the full thread so people can get things easier..

I in all honestly,almost Never use the Search part! At least ,anything ive searched for I got TOO MANY results to look through.But it is useful & has been hepful.

I did know bits about whats happened over the years but this has filled in a lot of gaps for me. Personally I believe randy footage is coming this year as we have heard it from ozzy and the camp. I dont mind the silent film but i would rather have sound AND footage rather than just footage. No one has mentioned that the footage has sound which is a little worrying...

Just because Ozzy said it doesnt mean it really is going to happen. There are MANY people that have to all work together in order for us fans to get to see what we want to see so badly. Not just Ozzy, Sharonn and Mrs. Rhoads, but Bob Daisley as well. That could be tough. Not that all of those people want to deprive the fans, but all of those people have different motivations, and seeing them all agree is .... doubtful, IMO. So while I hope we get to see it, I've sort of lost the buzz on it.


As far as sound - it's easy enough to sync up audio with video. I've done it with the Chicago footage myself just goofing around one night. So if any video released doesnt have sound, if we have a bootleg of it from the same show, it could be synced easily enough.
