Reissue Delay

I was thinking the other day, well hoping really. That mabey the 30th annivesary editions are being pushed back because their simply NOT DONE

I mean Ozzy wouldnt use the stuff years ago because he "Wouldnt want Randys last recording to sound like it was recorded in a garage"
So since theyve waited so long they cant simply haphazzardly throw it together.
If they really have Two Concerts & multiple Videos/films from different Cameras they could really make it something special! I would be happy w/a Single camera B & W on a Tripod, but thevye waited this long, they wouldnt put out an inferrior product (rerecordings aside) Mabey Ozzy liked what he heard on the Beatles reMixed remasters last year & would like something similar w/Blizzard & Diary & you cant just throw the reels onto Pro Tools hit a few plugins & have a QUALITY new mix.Listen to the Novilty ReRecordings....The Guitar,Keys & Vocals are heard in a "New Crystal Clear way" but the rest is a mess. The Delays in the the intro of Crazy Train Sound like they just put a tap-delay on it...like they didnt even take time to sync it up & get the stereo effect proper (not to mention the Vibra-slap) & on Suicide the Guitars Are UNBELIEVABLE in the best way, then the Drum & Bass kick in and make it Unbelievable in the Worst way
But on OZZYs Scream promo insert they were asking for "Fans Stories" from the Blizzard & Diary Tours to include in the packaging.Mabey they wernt happy with or hadnt had enough time to put it all together w/Ozzfest & Ozzys tour ect..ect.I hope this is along the lines of why its release is postponed.I dont even want to go into the whole "Royalty Debate theory" if that were the case, there were recordings before the albums & Lee didnt join until a week before recording,so who knows who is liable to get credit for the early recorings??

I REALLY hate to sound so negative here, but with you making these posts every other week, you're just setting yourself up for disappointment.
You keep saying "I hope they do this, I hope they do that, etc" and in the end, if they don't then this box set will be more of a disappointment to you than a treasure. (I'm sure you'll still love it either way)
I know there isn't a whole lot of RR things for us to talk about here, but maybe something like this should just be kept on the "down-low" for now. I really hate reading the kinds of posts where people are getting themselves all hyped up about this footage and re-re-reissues, simply because they are just setting themselves up to be put down when the finished product comes out because "Ozzy didn't do this, Ozzy didn't do that, etc."

Hi Cryptic,
You have a point for sure!
BUT I think we shouldn't kill the enthousiasm / speculating from people here as well. There is not that much more people can do here besides that, since very little of new Randy things comes out nowadays. And I think most members realize that 'dissapointment' in the world of Randy Rhoads is usually not unlikely.....
So I think there should be room for both, people who are
excited and people who
warn (like you) about too much excitement. We need both groups to keep this board alive. And still people can decide for themselves if they want to read a certain topic or not.

I dont actually sit here rocking on my chair , loosing sleep over these things or prayin to vishnu and above hopin, it just sounds/looks nice to say i hope they do this or that, a figure of speach type of thing, i honestly would be happy with a nice repackaged remaster of whatever but thats just so it looks good with all my other sht on the shelves.
However It would be a missed chance to remix/relevel some tracks like the beatles because i know im gonna have to buy em all again down the line but in the end NAY MIND NAY MIND.
Cheers, jazznroll

If we´ll get them, fine. If we don´t- fine. To be realistic, the delay was something predictable... I mean with lawsuts in the past etc, this is more like a norm, I´m afraid... Well, just keep our thumbs up and pray to God!!! Randy deserves to be heard and we deserve to hear Randy!!!

They might not be done, that's a good point... I hope they will be done early next year because I want to see that footage.
Question: Do you have to buy the legacy, limited edition version to get the concert footage? If not, what comes with the legacy version that doesn't come with the regular?

I'm pretty sure the footage would be for the deluxe version only. Which is kind of pointless in the fact that as soon as one person buys it, it'll be online for "file sharing" all across the world. Making this kind of pointless.
So, if you don't have the money for the deluxe version, you can still get the video somehow. (If you know how to get it) Also, I think they might have the outtakes/alternate takes for the deluxe versions, which can give the same results as the footage. I don't know for sure though.

As I said, I don't know for sure, but I'm positive there's going to be SOMETHING special about the deluxe versions besides all the crap they're putting in it (Fake invite to Crowley's resurrection, picks, etc) so I would assume they'd put the footage in the deluxe. As I said though, if that's what they do, it won't be very hard to get the footage anyways... (If you know where to look)

this is kind of what it was like when us old timers would wait for an upcoming album, except the only difference is you wouldnt hear or know shit till the tv or radio would announce it..then it was save up the dough and hit the store and grab it!!buy it or snatch it either way..the problem with all the anxiety and lack of patience is the internet spoils the shit out of young and in my case old alike!!!but like you guys im about tired of waiting for this waiting for that...i would be really surprised if anything comes out at all...the only randy related thing i got my money on is kg's book..i've put the rest to sleep till its confirmed it will be released..just my thoughts on this..still hoping tho!

Okay,Creyptic...I knew I'd get Flagged...but I am 31 & I have been dreaming of seeing this since I was 6 years Old.I am a Retard for Rhoads.I ts really alot to me So it crosses my mind at least 10 times a day.
And Since nobody I know really cares,I mean the way I do. This is the ONLY place to Vent about it(to people who care). I do have HOPE though........I HAVE TO!
When Kelly & Kelle did that little interview about the Museum,it seemed as though....they knew something, but were not discussing it.But Kelly Did say "The Osbournes Listen to the fans "
When I was 6 ,shit when I was 15 I couldnt have ever imagined the way Music & Infomation are excanged on the iNTERNET,were the damn Jetsons w/o the flying cars.
I just cant believe w/all this technology,we still cant find out a date of theese "Shows"
I
