I was Lookin around & found this Cool Ozzy special from 95 & actually has Joe Holmes talkin about taking lessons from Randy,which is Cool because I havent heard him say much Outside of the 2002 Japan Doc & the small clip from the PM Doc Trailer!!

I always Loved Joe holmes,I saw him w/Ozzy 2 or 3 times & I have said over the years what he says in this interview!!& that is he plays Randys songs as close to as he can,but he has the same feel & technique (ex. watch Randys fingers on the 2nd solo in Mr.Crowley on Afterhours,then watch Jake or Zakk they dont move their fingers the same way,they barr the note rather than hammer-on every fret in the arpeggio seperatly) On the Ozzmosis tour during that part of the show they split the screen & played the video of Randy from AH & Had a camera on Joe on the other half of the screen!!For me a HUGE Randy fan being 16 or 17 it was Magical!!
By the way-off topic I just found out & found interesting is Ozzy is Currently playing Killer of Giants on his Current summer tour & Gus G Nails it!!Thats the 1st time since Jake was in the band almost 25 years since he played that .
To me Killer of Giants was like Jake E Lees Answer to Randys DIARY OF A MADMAN
Something to prove himself to the fans & I think its one of Ozzys Very best songs w/o Randy *r* ,the intro & the Power Chorus Then the Solo section is on Fire!

Thanks for that little gem Dave. I've never seen that interview before. I went through another Power 30 interview and Ozzy says some important things about chemistry with guitar players on stage.

I saw Ozzy With Joe and he was great. Awsome guitar player. It had to be so cool to have studied with Randy. I gotta admit he was flat a few times on the solo for FHA on that clip though.
