Was lookin around the web & Found this Looks like a US release date & it says there is a Legacy edition of Both albums
http://www.pauseandplay.com/october2010.htm

Theese Legacy editions are a "Series" & All Look to be Very Good

Legacy Edition
The releases that fall under the Legacy Edition banner are truly albums that have changed music. From Janis Joplin’s legendary “Pearl” to Jeff Buckley's masterpiece “Grace”, these titles are the pinnacle of what the SONY BMG archives have to offer.

Good diggin', D...
Let's hope that date sticks. A full month and a half earlier would be cool. As of next Thursday, that release is now two months away.
By chance, does anyone know if the new GW is out, (Sept.), and does it have anything pertaining to these releases?
Just thinking they could have meant the issue that comes out in August, as opposed to the Aug. issue :?
Thanks again for the info,
T.

the more i look at these pre-orders for these 2 and 3 disc legacy editions (Japan, etc...), i'm seeing NOTHING about any type of video footage at all. Looks like these will have absolutely nothing on them. Disappointing.
Looks as if this supposed "video footage" w/Randy will be some type of separate release in time (maybe...) ?? Nothing coming out of the Osbourne camp on this and the "bonus" material is seeming to be outtake songs and the like and maybe some audio conversation.
What happened to the video footage stuff??

I cannot remember, but hadn't Sharon said the albums would be world wide, but the box was to be a N. America/UK limited thing?
I'm not sure if the vid was to be part of the box or a seperate entity.

....thats the problem. "Sharon said". I really don't trust her word for anything. I would have to see it from a credible source w/some rock solid info (release date, exact content, etc....)

Me neither, but unfortunately, Sharon is the only source, so we can only go by what she tells the public.

Blabbermouth is blocked here at work. This was posted today, can anyone tell if there is any further info spec-wise?

The same info was at bravewords...looks like it's still on for Thanksgiving for the rest of us, Japan gets an earlier release of just the albums:

nope. Just a link to the Japanese pre-orders for the regular and legacy editions of Blizzard and Diary. Just appears to be a re-mastering of the regular edition and the "bonus" disc on the legacy edition w/some extra tracks, dialogue, etc. No video anything.

Well how many people own the original Blizzard & Diary albums you can still get them on CD, Vinyl, and cassette tape versions. So who would go and buy the same album again in a different cover with a 30th anniversary sticker. That just wouldn't interest me at all. It's just like buying a remastered copy of the bastardised versions. Then the Live footage is added as an extra bonus disc to help sell those albums. Very much like the H&H package Live at Radio City you had the audio CD and the Live DVD. Yeah its pure speculation but i think thats how it will be released. We'll see Eh!

Well, unfortunately, at this point (unless something drastically changes but thats doubtful as the pkg's have already been put together), it looks as if its just audio only and a bonus disc of a few audio tracks, remixes, dialogue, etc.
I agree....these albums have already been remastered. Once w/the original band and once w/the replaced drum + bass tracks. Remastered again? Don't think so.....
I'm starting to worry about any "video" being released. Sharon's babbling means nothing. They never give "gifts" to their fans. These anniversary editions are hugely disappointing at this juncture.

Again, I believe Japan is getting the early release, as the box was to be limited to the US/CAN & UK. It sounds as though that is still on for November.
Japan is releasing the albums seperately, as the albums are all they are getting. If a Japanese fan wants the box and/or the dvd, they would have to have it imported from the Western hemisphere.
Nothing official has even been announced as of yet. If anything, I would think it would be before the 1st of October, which isn't very far away, now.

Where have you seen these packages that have already been put together ?. Or are you just speculating / guessing the out come ?.

I wasn't saying that these discs will be remastered i was saying they may aswell be some remixed crap if they are not doing this without the Live DVD. Who wants to own the Lee Kerslake & Bob Daisley editions if they have no extras like studio out takes and fade outs that are heard in full etc. I can understand the people who have not bought the older versions and have only heard the Trujillo & Bordin versions the bastardised 2nd rate crap. So putting anything extra in with the discs will only help it sell.

I was agreeing w/you my friend. They have been remastered at least twice before. Why would anyone buy them now? I wouldn't...
Looks like fancy packaging and whatever is on the 3rd disc legacy edition would be the hook.
And no i haven't seen the packages, but the details and pre-orders are making their way out there now. The reality is...its 99.9% sure that there will be NO live material in these whatsoever.
I am hopeful of a boxset or live video material that Sharon mentioned, as hopeful as anyone here....i look every day. I'm a bit disappointed there is no news of any of this while details and pre-orders are emerging on the CD editions. At this point, it's just words from the Osbournes that was mentioned months ago and there is nothing concrete at all. So at this point, it is just hope and speculation. The fact is...there could be nothing at all released. I'm hoping for the best (crossing my fingers!!), but preparing for the worst.
