30th anniversary of BOO and DOAM

So today I was in a bookstore reading magazines. I started to read the new issue of the Rolling Stones magazine about Ozzy.
It mentioned a releasing of the deluxe 30th anniversary of BOO and DOAM
WITH the original Bass and drums. Not the crappy re-recorded ones.
I take it as a good sign to begin with. Perhaps it has something to do with the Randy footage? or not.
I do wonder if Ozzy plans to add anything more to the 30th edition. I would love to hear your guys opinion on this
I have a feeling it'll be a good year for Randy fans 8)

That sounds very promising and a great package if the Live RR show is included. If anyone has the Rolling Stones magazine could they post up the article please Cheers

That would be wonderful news if Bob, Lee & the O's can burry their battle!

I would not be sure about it, I have no doubt they will do it at some point though, 30yrs would be best though. Reading over at bobs site as he responds to All questions on a daily basis it seems, there is no way ozzy has contacted him yet. If he was contacted he would be acting much more nicely about ozzy.

Either this or ozzy is just planning on surprising them one day and calling them up and giving them what they are owed. How would that work anyway? Would ozzy pay a certain % of all copies sold of those two albums? Would it be just a big guess around 10 million dollars and then receive royalties for all sales from here on out?

I should of bought the copy but I didn't want to waste any money
Plus it only mentions the 30th anniversary release in like 3-4 sentences :P

Heres a link if you want to see where I got the source from, but it mostly mentions Rolling Stones back in the day

wow i was just reading over at blabbermouth and I had always thought that Ozzy just decided to remove Bob and Lee so they could win the court case. The remasters were done just in spite of those two, they never had to do it! they just did! WOW...did not know that, I figured Sharon did it just to get out of paying. Looks like it was just to get Bob and Lee off there asses!

oh and also this...

Joe Siegler, who runs black-sabbath.com mentioned this on his forums...

"I've since been told there are "tons of extras", but as to what that means exactly, I wasn't told. But it appears it will be something special."
I wonder if ozzy has a bunch of demos and recordings of them rehearsing the songs as Bob does also?!?

YCKRR would be just  to listen to live :)

That is f*cking awesome! I am absolutely stoked about this. It's going to come to a fever-pitch this summer. I've been cranking the 95 remasters lately, but I can't wait to hear what the deluxe additions include.

To me "deluxe editions" must mean more than just having the bass & drums restored.... Hopefully they are issued as two or three disc sets with a DVD & disc of outtakes & demos. These will blow us all away if done right!

With this release its looking like Ozzy may release a 2CD set along with a live show and thats it. I think we were all thinking that we would release another large box set from his entire catalog, looks like it could be just strictly a Randy thing :D

I'm sort of wondering if the Osbournes have restored the albums because Bob reached them about the Holy Grail, and maybe they could be released in a box set with the Holy Grail (Or parts of it at least) and maybe the live footage???

I'm feeling really good about this!
