This was a very early guitar used by Randy i very much doubt that he kept it. The same as his 12 string Firebird that Dave Tangye sold to Ozzy. I think Randy only used this to record with as it was only ever seen being used in Ridge farm studios.

Kelle Rhoads said ( during the rr.us chat) that Randy sold the SG around the time he got the Les Paul Custom.

I believe it was said (by KD I think), that Stan Lee from the Dickies was the owner after Randy. And that later on it was lost/stolen.

I bought it in 1983 for $350. Still have it. Here is me playing it in 1987. It was refinished and modified a bit.

Do you have a recent pic?
Could you take a pic of the guitar
I heard Randy loved the SG. But it wouldn't stay in tune or something like that

Randy had a white SG which he bought at the same time as the 3 pick up Black beauty. It was another guitar that he bought but never used it on stage or in the studio. Yeah i'd like to see a recent photo of your SG dannyc cheers for posting up the pic and the info.... Do you know much about the history of the guitar leading up to you receiving it.

Stan has said he had no tuning issues with it... it was probably young Randy playing with a heavy touch on light gauge strings. Kevin has said Randy broke strings a lot until he went to a higher gauge.
