Was This New Footage "Discovered" by the Osbournes

I really dont care how the footage was gotten, but it is fun to speculate HOW this new footage was DISCOVERED.

My feeling is that the Osbournes know that the doc is in jeopardy, and Ozzy has a few new things happening (book, new cd, tour). I think this footage was in their vault all along, but they couldnt get the Rhoads family to agree to release it until now. It appears that Randys brother and sister are becoming more involved now and are helping with promoting Randys legacy.

I think the O's are slyfully opportunistic.

Either way I could care less.

I cant wait to see the great quality stuff they have.

I'd say it happened something like that. Seems like Ozzy has been everywhere lately promoting his new book (which I still have to read). I'm sure they've known about this all along. They don't seem to be the type that would forget all about it, then just come across it in happenstance.

I do not think that Delores has prevented anything from being released over the years at all, and i doubt ozzy has had this stuff in is vault the whole time, and if he did they are one big organizational mess, it would have to have been in a box mixed with tons of other things to just get pass over like that for years. I doubt Ozzy lied during all these interviews saying after hours was all he had, he always said it very sincerely and seemed to always promote the fact that if he had something he would release it. I will admit he probably has a couple shows that are of very poor quality, but nothing like what is going to be supposedly released.

Its really hard for me to say.. Sometimes I think they have piles of footage. Other times I believe Ozzy when he says they dont.. No matter what anyone thinks of Ozzy (or Sharon) for that matter, they have always been very forth right in their feelings about Randy.. And knowing Sharon, its about money for her, if they had something that they could have made money on wouldnt it have been out by now???? Again its hard to say.. Did Delores Rhoads prevent stuff from coming out??? I dont know the answer to that either.. I cant see why she would have.. Especially knowing how many thousands and thousands of guitar players that Randy has inspired.. As ive said, Im ok with waiting on them getting this DVD ready for release, but geez, how bout some more details????

i'm not sure the Rhoads family has any legal saying in
Ozzy releasing any live material with Randy. he most likely owns the stuff.

watching Sharon break down in the Japanese tribute you can just see how much she loved him, you could just tell by her eyes how much he meant to everyone. When it comes to Randy I dont think Sharon is thinking of money at all, they know he boosted Ozzys career and probably feel obligated to do whatever it takes to repay him.

very good point shockwave...with everything the osbourne's have accomplished,books,merchandise,tv shows,records,sold out concerts,i just dont believe they are doing this for the money..if they needed money that bad all sharon would have to do is put ozzy on a 3 week tour and boom!!!instant cash for them!!!whatever the reason i cant wait to see randy live!!!

lol, ozzy is supposed to start a 18 month tour for his new album ain't he??

Yeah thats what i'm thinking..

If Peter Margolis had aquired this Live footage he would of needed the Osbourne's permission to use this on the docu. If the quality of the audio was poor or if any dubbing was to be used. So it may of been refused and this is how it has turned up. I could imagine Ozzy watching this and thinking how Fucking awesome and if he liked it. How much would the paying fans enjoy seeing this unseen footage. Then $haron steps in with the calculator, she does the maths and Bingo!! we get to see this footage we've all been waiting for...But we can all speculate and if Ozzy & co had any Randy footage i think we would of seen this in the Crazy Train video or as an anniversary release with the Rhoads family's permission. Very much in the same way Tribute was released.
