The RR collection in the video is not mine. I just took the video and put everything together for the owner. This room was supposed to be used in a producers cut
for the Randy Documentary to promote the new movie but, nothing ever happened. I suggested to Mike who owns all of this stuff to post the video for Randy fans and he
was cool with it. Mike also has another room with more RR stuff that wasn't shot. Maybe he'll make another video of that stuff down the line.

Was wondering about those 'altec' speakers lying on that table (at 3:00), the magnets seems to be a lot smaller than usual? :?

This is an original:

the maget from this speaker is much bigger..... (?)

Great Plains Audio - Replica Speakers

Just a quick note, when I took pictures of the room I did ask Mike about the speakers and they are actually the new Altec reproduction speakers from Great Plains Audio. The speakers are about as close as you can get to the original 417 8H Altecs and run $250.00 each. Since all of the cabinets are mainly for show, he didn't feel the need to source and re-cone 24 all original Altecs for them. He does have a bunch of original 417 8H Altecs in his personal Marshall cabs and also has another room with Randy Memorabila that wasn't shown in this video.

FYI, from a recent post
Great Plains Audio (www.greatplainsaudio.com) is manufacturing the 417 using the original 417 toolings, specs, and suppliers of materials. Same employees who ran the Altec production facilities and lines when Altec was still Altec.
