Kelly Garni's post about Peter

I must say I have seen tons of crazy crap on these forums and have laughed as well at most of the post and egos on display. I remember the dogfall guy that everyone hated for calling out Peter and exploiting things he knew and now Kelly Garni is confirming what the guy said about Peter's character ..I also think kevin dubrow said the same thing.
sometimes it pays to listen to the messenger.

Indeed there has been a falling out between all parties involved. I wish I could say more. But the main thing that pissed me off, was when Peter's "people" called me up to get them out of a jam they had themselves been dumb enough to get themselves into. I did as I was asked, spoke to Romeo, and the Trailer was removed with the cooperation of all. I asked Peter's people to NOT go on the boards and say they are pulling the plug on the film, that's spitting in the face of all the fans. What did they do? Not even 1 hour off the phone they put up another post saying they were stopping production. My reaction was not too pleasant. I made phone calls and chopped off several heads. When I gotta do it, I bring it, baby. Apparently Peter was none too pleased about the way I spoke to his little peoples. I left Peter a message to call me and we would discuss the entire incident. My intent was to get a trailer out that everyone could see without fear of legal action. I've seen a couple of different versions of trailers over at Dakota and they were all better than what was out there. I was also informed that money was tight and getting an editor was something that was a problem at the moment. I called up an editor who had worked on the film with Peter but who had to leave for financial and personal reasons. I BEGGED HIM to do it for free. He agreed to do so as long as I stepped in to help. Now, I do not admit to being in the film industry, or having any knowledge of it. I do not know how to run these computer programs neccsary to get the work done. I never said I could. But I do write scripts (even went to college for it) and not only do I know the story, and lived much of it, I have the ability to tell it. I volentired to go to LA for a couple of days a week to help get this done. I admit this is Peter's film and HE should be the one to make it. To date, he has done a very good job, that I admit. But I was told he only had so much time to work on it, as he "had to make a living too". In other words, this is a spare time project, at least that's the way he made me feel. Me, and the Rhoads family thought we were getting someone who was going to put a 100% into this. A real film company with a real director. As it stands now, at least in my opinion, we are getting only a fraction of his time and effort. When I left Peter a message to call me, it was a very friendly message. Even though I had just gotten off the phone and had blood all over my axe. But you see, these "Hollywood Big Time Director Types" have very fragile egos. And I guess you just don't go around sacking their underlings. If you do that, then you're out. And you won't get a phone call back. My bad, I guess. I went to see Romeo as I was taking care of some business in the Knoxville area. Don't ask me what it was or even speculate. W. Virg. was'nt that far of a drive. I thought Romeo was a cool guy on the phone and when he told all the outlandish things he had been promised to give them this "video" it smacked a bit of my experience with Peter. I was promised stuff too and it was dilibrete acts that made them not happen. He was promised stuff Peter could never deliver. They tried to hustle him as much as he worked them. Only he won. So I went to visit this "Madman" and everyone told me I was crazy for going alone. But I wasn't afraid, I knew he just loved Randy and wanted to see something. That's really not so wrong. I had a nice drive, took some pictures and visited Romeo and made the video for fun and to drive home a point to Peter that you cannot ignore ME. I'm watching my friends back and the family's too. I needed to see a few things for myself. And I saw. I can safely say that Peter's business practices have not been anything we would approve of. I'm a big believer in communication. And the fact that he's too "whatever" to call me, speaks volumes. Trust me when I say this, he would like nothing better than to be done with this and rid of all us. And, the feeling is mutual. I offered to help but all I got was FU. I believe he will do a great job on this and you will all get to see and know the real Randy. But he didn't make any friends along the way. That's for sure. I am very offended that he sees me as an enemy at this point. That is a big mistake. He needs me. Because you know what? I bet there's another screw up down the road. And who's he gonna call now? Ghostbusters? I am so hurt that a story about my friend has brought out the worst in some. All the hate, all the things said, all the posturing up for a fight. The finger pointing. All of it. All I have to do is write this and there will be more trouble. Silly, innit?
