Visiting Musonia - questions

My family and I are going to be in southern California in a few weeks. Being a huge Randy fan, I've always wanted to go and pay my respects at his grave. Additionally, I wanted to go and take a tour of Musonia. Knowing that this is still a functioning business, with appointments, etc. can anyone share any tips for visiting there? Is it protocol to call and set up a tour?
Any help would be hugely appreciated. Thanks!

I think it would be fine, but I would call ahead

I went last month. Same story as you. FYI Randy's grave is about an hour and a half away from Musonia. All you have to do is call and make an appointment. They are INCREDIBLY gracious with their time as long as you call ahead. Usually you'll sit with Mrs. Rhoads for a bit (if she is felling well and there that day) and then Kelle will show you around. Cool, thanks ammalato. That helps a lot. I will let you all know how the trip is. I did a search on Mapquest to see the distance between the grave and school. I hope traffic isn't too terrible. Hearing horror stories on LA/CA traffic.

Definately call first. I would suggest a weekday if you can help it. School is open tuesday though saturday. On saturdays it's usualy just Mrs Rhoads, no Kelle. And it opens at about 3pm til whenever the last student is booked.
As for the grave, I can suggest the ol 210 freeway as a quick shot, if you can manage it. Quicker than the average drive out there. I know there are quite a few different routes to go there, being that I live in Los Angeles/Burbank. My advice is to mapquest and then maybe talk to someone who has made the trip to double check on the easiest route. Mapquest can be a bit unreliable and ridiculous sometimes. AND it all depends on where you are staying. I can help ya if you need any advice and/or tips.
