If one compare the details of both pics there are lots of little differences the eye doesn't catch at first. (angles, lines etc, for instance check the bottom line of his vest in both pics) If it was done digital it would be even closer, unless they made all those little changes at purpose afterwards.

I don't know why someone would paint this slightly different then the original photo. Why ? This person is talented and can paint, some people do have such a talent.

It looks to me like digital art, not a hand-painting.

The "slight" difference is to avoid copyright infringement from the "original photo" used as a base model.

It DOES look like something that would be used in a video game. Absolutely.

Hence we don't see it in real here, becaus of the smaller size here it looks maybe digital at first, but after checking all the details very close again, to me it definitely looks like an awesome hand painted job!

Yeah it's so obvious that this is a great original painting. He has made a few mistakes. If this was digitaly messed about with would you make mistakes ?? I don't think so, Check out the back of the guitar he has put a cover plate (white) in there and it isn't shown on the original. His hair is much bigger and so is the head stock of the guitar. The dots on the guitar are not 100%. But i wish i could be as good and not notice these little differences. It's like 'spot the difference' looking at the 2 pics together. The original is slightly out of focus. In the painting it comes over much brighter and check out his ass. Yes girls i bet you's zoomed in
