These photos are from itinerary-book (I think it was), it was auctioned on some site, but as I was late for the party, I only managed to save some photos. Most are from 1980 in the UK and some from USA 1981 :?

Cool photos.. They are from the late Dave Tangye's collection that was auctioned off.

A rare photo of the late Rachel Youngblood who sadly died in the plane crash with Randy.

I've semi cleaned some of those photos up and a couple of them had been developed in reverse so i've flipped them the right way round.

These are a nice collection of candid pics, for sure. Love the shot of the band on stage. Looks like the Day on the Green gig. Thanks for sharing!

I think it's earlier than DOTG. Likely a gig from april/may 1981. Was it River Flats Jam in Minneapolis on may 25th? Randy and Rudy wearing leather jackets would also point to not-so-summer...

It was the River flats gig as mentioned above in May 1981. Randy wrote in a postcard how he was looking forward to this gig and mentioned it was sold out. They played on a billing with 38. Special, Motorhead and another band which i forget. 20,000 turned out for this open air gig and it rained on the day. I think that's why Rudy and Randy are looking like they've skipped their normal wardrobe of vests and bare skin. Wrapped up with jackets and they look like they are sound checking. For such a big event like this one you would of thought it would of been mentioned more over the years.

Very good points Idol! I've tried to look for info on River Flats Jam, but not much luck... It's the usual; when it comes to Randy's time with Ozzy, there's not much anything. Photos are scarce, bootlegs a few and not a chance of video!!! If Randy would have lived, say 5 years more, there would have been much more stuff. Alas, that is not so. I guess we'll never hear Bob Daisley's tapes or see the Phoenix-brothers' film.

I agree with most of what your saying but photos being scarce of Randy. I would of honestly thought that in 40+ years we would of seen everything as far as photos go. They just keep coming and some of them are quality pro taking shots. Remember that cameras would not be allowed in many venues and anyone who didn't have a photo pass was asked to hand the film or camera over. So for someone who was an up and coming Rock star he was well photographed over a short period, but was this because of him being Ozzy's guitarist ?. He was photogenic and i think the dudes taking photos of a relatively unknown player. They liked the look of his stage clothes and stance on stage. This is not the norm with a well known star having the stardom focused on the guitarist rather then the spotlight being on Ozzy.

Pardon me; I meant that there's no photos from the River Flats Jam. There have been some "new founds" indeed; like the 2nd version of Hammersmith 1980 show. So, maybe there's still more?
