yeah, I remember reading an interview with Brian May once [ sometime in the 80's] and he said that Randy called him up one time and asked him what he done to keep his playing fresh & new. I really can't remember his responce but i've always remembered that interview because he said Randy had called him. Also believe he said it was after they finished recording "Diary of a Madman".

I still have it somewhere because I kept all the guitar mags. that I ever bought! But as you can imagine by now it would be like finding a needle in a hay stack! Although this has sparked my curiosity about what all he said , I'll try and find it and if I do I'll post everything that was said.

Yeah I heard that too, and something on the Ozzy Osbourne Prince of Darkness Boxset or on Ozzy Under Cover notes he says something about Randy insisting to Ozzy to listen to Mountian.Zakk Daniels wrote:I may be mistaken, but I thought I read somewhere that Randy admired Leslie West of Mountain.
