25 years ago today (23rd Feb 1982)

Well today is a key date in the life of people who love Randy and his music.
On 23rd February 1982 in El Paso Randy played the last known show to surface as a bootleg. I will be listening to it later as I work and had planned to this private rememberance for a long time.

This show is the closest any of us have to anything that we can call 'Randy's last gig', I thought I would give all of my friends here a heads up on it just in case any of you consider giving it a listen 25 years to the day since the show was played.

If you don't have it you can get it in the free audio section here on Ultimaterhoads.

Cologne she'll wear silver and americard, She'll drive a beetle car and beat you down at cool Canasta. And when the clothes are strewn don't be afraid of the room touch the fullness of her breast feel the love of her caress she will be your living end.

No the soundcheck isn't from El Paso, it was from Texas but from Beaumont if I remember correctly :D

So that was the February 18th - Fair Park Arena, Beaumont, TX show.
Too bad we don't have a boot of that, Rudy wrote in his book that Randy played one of his best '82 shows there.
