I was wondering if anyone in the Rhoads community knew about the NM footage in the past? Were there rumors or an original tv broadcast? If not, how did the osbournes and sony find it? Man i get chills when Randy walks onstage during the intro to otm and waits for Tommy to start the drumfill. I never thought i would see something like this. A moment of greatness from the shadowy past miraculously preserved.

It is amazing to see Randy just ripping. Especially when you gotta clear shot when Ozzys outta the way.

The best part of this set for me is just seeing Ozzy listening to Randy's music.... the emotion he is feeling is so apparent.
That man adored Randy....
When he's listening to Dee and puts his head down, almost about to cry... then looks up and smiles.
Thats a priceless moment.
A man remembering his friend.
Blowing a kiss ... "Brilliant".
I had tears in my eyes.
I sometimes think I can understand or feel that pain and loss.
I cannot...
Only Randys family could... but even they don't carry the enormous strain of guilt Ozzy must sometimes face.
None of us can possibly understand the responsability the Osbournes must feel to Randy's memory and Delores.
They are feircely protective to the point where some of us feel jilted, ripped off and even betrayed.
So be it.
I honestly think I would be the same for any of my closest friends.
It's called loyalty.
When theres a pervasive guilt involved with a loss like Randy's that loyalty becomes unmovable.
... and their British... as am I. Believe me, theres an old school British mentality of Loyalty and stuborness that I don't think many other nationalities quite get.
The DVD reveals something to me that often gets discussed here as well.
Why were the fade outs not included on Tonight and You Can't Kill Rock n Roll?
If you go back to the video and listen you may realize why.
They include previously unheard DRUMS AND BASS from two bandmates that have sued the Osbournes.
This would open a whole new kettle of fish if it was released. I am sure Sharon would have been down with the lawyers discussing those ramifications.
It most likely just wasn't worth the risk.
Shame... the whole royalties mess just continues to create problems.
