I think Randy would have absolutely loved Buckethead...

Randy loved Alice Cooper, 70's Glam Rock and was showcasing an androgenous image himself in Quiet Riot... therefore he was extremely open minded to the bizaare gimmicks that came along with Rock n Roll. So the bucket, mask and peculiar behaviour of Buckethead would simply be a laugh for him.

The musicianship is a whole other ball game and I think Randy would have been very excited at the mindblowing compositions Buckethead created.
I am sure he would have thought some of it was crap... because, well... lets be honest - some of it is, LOL. But it's crap with a purpose of expression.
The real magic is in albums like Colma, Acoustic Shards and the absolute genius of Shadows Between the Sky - which I personally consider the best solo instrumental album of the last 20 yrs. It's a lesson in simplicity... and I think Randy would have applauded it enthusiastically.

Any guitar fan here who hasn't heard that album should kill to get it.
