My first suggestion would be to release a trailer so that everyone could down load it without fear of being a criminal. I had spoken to Peter's croanies and told them NOT to put out any statements that they were going stop production on the film because of this brilient hustle Romeo pulled on them. Instead they released statements saying that is exactly what they were going to do. That was like spitting in the face of all of you who have waited patiently while cinamatic masterbation ran rampart. When they did that, I chopped off a few heads. It got back to Peter and now he won't even return my calls. (wussy) I offered to spend a few days a week in LA sitting with an editor to try to get this thing done. Once again, I basically got a go screw yourself. Yes, I relise it's Peter film and would never step on his artistic toes, but at lease I know what revelent and what's not. I could cut down all the weeds so to speak and get to the heart of the story. But I guess they don't think I know anything about Randy. Bottom line: we;re stuck for now.
Thanks Kelly for trying to get things on track and speaking for yourself here. 8)
Pretty sad situation though, not in the last place for the Rhoads family.....
I really hope that some things can be repaired. Oke the filmteam lost track a bit, it's no shame, everybody could, but if they are willing to listen to people a bit eventually everybody will be happy! I can't imagine they won't listen to well meant advice.....

About the contract between the Filmmaker and the Rhoads family:
It's for making a documentary in the first place right? To me that Blizzard concert dvd is not really a documentary.
Isn't possible that some things can be split up? So at least some stuff can be released earlier than "2018". With respect to all those who are involved in the documentary, but to me (and I think a majority of fans) the Blizzard concert dvd will be the holy grail and the documentary will be more like a bonus. Most fans want to see and hear Randy in the first place!
The winner of the rat race is still a rat.

oth, I think it was done by accident, because my post was also deleted. We have been trying to split the posts. You see, we like to keep the ones that are useful, and the ones that are crap, stored away in like a trash can. I was doing some splitting earlier and it isn't the easiest of tricks in the world. PhpBB, makes it nice and difficult for you.

I wasn't going to say anything more, but since you keep reffering to me as "Gomer Pyle" I just thought I'd inform you how ironic that is, because I don't see myself really as having anything in common with that character, but seriously, the actor that plays that character and also happens to be a singer, Jim Nabors, is actually related to my family, he's just a distant cousin to me, but he's related to my family none the less.

This is from Peter Margolis over at TK, personally I think it's a load of bullshit, and he's just trying to save some face at this point:

Here is a quick answer to the recent questions regarding my film.
We took about two days off to regroup after the trailer was posted on the internet to deal with how the material was stolen and what the consequences from the theft would be.
My concern was with the material in the trailer that had not yet been cleared.
Fortunately, months ago we were asked to remove about 2 minutes from the trailer, which we did. These two minutes would have potentially created a problem. Fortunately they were not in the version some of you saw and they will never be viewed by the public.
As to whether anyone in the Rhoads family (Dolores, Kathy or Kelle) is concerned or angered by this leak, none of them ever called me to make me aware of any concerns they may have.
I have not spoken to any of them since early April.
My contract with them expires April of 2010 and I will be long done with this project by then. I told everyone that it would take three years from the time I rolled cameras, which was March of 2007 and I am going to finish exactly when I said I would.
I am sure that I will be talking with Kelle over the next several months as he will be contributing some music and we need to go over style, content and placement.

We are working around the clock with a full time editor and two part time editors to get this documentary ready for Sundance FIlm Festival submission. The final submission date is September 25th, 2009.
From that point I have until the 2nd week of December to complete graphics, titles, music, dialogue mix and so forth.
If it is accepted it will be viewed by invited guests to The Sundance FIlm Festival in January and then make the rounds at other film festivals throughout 2010.

I don't read any of the text at the other RR site. It is of no interest to me whatsoever.
I can't waste my time with people's opinions which have no merit or are based on untruths. I have been told through e-mails about a few things that are being claimed and they at best are gross exaggerations.
I would think that people would have better and more productive ways to spend their free time. I know I do.
No matter what good you try to accomplish in the world there are always going to be those that want to knock you down.
I have had encounters with hundreds of people who were in some way attached to Randy since beginning this project. Whether they are in front of the camera or behind the camera. Almost all of them have been great with about five exceptions.
So 98% good, 2% bad. Not a terrible ratio.
My aim is the same that it was since I first began talking about this project in August of 2006.
I made a promise to see this through regardless of the consequences and I plan to make good on my promise.
For the record, I have not profited in any way from this film and most likely won't ever.
I have spent thousands of my own dollars that I will never come back to me all because I wanted to do the right thing.
So, believe whatever you want. It truly doesn't matter to me. It is why I don't read reviews. Every one has an opinion and is entitled to their beliefs. Doesn't make them right.

Oth when you attack and belittle people here on our turf don't cry foul that your psychobabble post's were deleted. Let one of us do that nonsense at TK you would perma ban us. Count your blessings here my friend. You have a lot more freedom to speak your mind here than at TK. I can assure you that as can others.

By the way on a side note calling Romeo Gomer Pyle is actually a compliment. Gomer Pyle is a national treasure and an icon of sorts. So you self owned yourself by attempting to bash Romeo with the gomer pyle.

Thanks for all the kind words and support Paiste, it's much appreciated. I really don't know what oth and writs problems with me are to begin with. I treat others how they treat me on a individual basis, and negativity just gets negativity in return, like a mirror i reflect back to people what they give me. It's ridiculous really, I mean we are all supposed to be here for the point of discussing Randy Rhoads, I give everyone a sneak peak at the trailer, and then on top of that i tell everyone about the pro shot blizzard footage and other stuff that Peter is trying to keep secret for everyone, and then these idiots attack me, like biting the hand that feeds them. but it takes all kinds i guess, haha

Anyway it looks like Kelly helped light a fire under Peter with our music video, cause Peter's dancing now. I thought it was funny where he says the Rhoads family was never angry about the trailer being released, well duh, of course they weren't, why should they have been. What they are angry about is the amount of time it's taking Peter to do this. Funny how he didn't mention that. He just gave us alot of smoke and mirrors there, really nothing new. But we'll see the film when we see it, all we can do now is wait, and wait and wait...

Oh, and I don't believe for a second when Peter says he hasn't read this thread, I imagine he's been quite captivated and on the edge of his seat with this thread. Also the thing about the 2 minutes of footage thing not being in the trailer seems fishy too cause he sure was freaked out about the whole thing and said they had pics there that hadn't been paid for yet and that's what they were worried about, having to pay photographers, funny how Peter failed to mention how he spent all the budget. Nor did he mention the horse or the window. He won't say anything that will make himself look bad, his ego won't allow that. And he is still trying to keep the pro shot blizzard footage, the footage the twins shot, the coffee table book and the audio cd of his lesson and the home movie footage of burbank all secret till the release. i'd rather he just be straight up and in the open about it all. i see he's just trying to rake in more money by keeping it all hush hush till the last second, but still i don't care for secretive people, just makes him look more shady. and the main thing, peter still hasn't said anything about RELEASING A OFFICIAL TRAILER. he just totally danced around everything that was important, and he has everyone at TK worshipping him again and singing his praise again, sometimes I wonder who do some people admire more, Peter Margolis or Randy Rhoads, haha, it's ridiculous.

I also laugh at this line:

"I can't waste my time with people's opinions which have no merit or are based on untruths."

I hope he's not insinuating that what I've said is untrue, all the stuff about all the Randy Rhoads goodies & pro shot footage is 100% true, His employees Andrew & A.J. told me that.

In fact I may even have that on tape somewhere I will have to check because I do record and save most of my phone conversations.

It's also sickening how he says he hasn't made any money off this film and probably won't see any, that's complete bullshit.

there's nothing wrong with making some dough, but at least be straight up & honest about it. don't flat out lie, and expect everyone to be gullable enough to fall for it.

Romeo it's simple sheeple behavior. Those people would eat cookies laced with Anthrax if Peter told the it would make the documentary come out sooner. That whole board is psychotic. They worshipped KD until Kevin decided not to do the Randy documentary then they turned on his ass like a bunch of starved dobermans. Even I felt bad for Kevin at that point. The irony is maybe Kevin had a point or some foresight into this.

I just feel Peter has them on puppet strings over there and they would probadly send money to a pay pal account if Peter asked them to so the doc could be finished.

Glad you got to spend some time with Kelly Romeo. If he told you some of the Quiet Riot stories you had to be laughing. I was in shock when I heard that stuff as a teenager. The stories Drew told me are priceless just utter insanity.

Yeah I wonder what Kelly is thinking right now about what the film maker posted, haha, I tried to call him to see but all I got was his answering machine.

Yeah some of those people at tk are nuts. One guy in that thread just posted how he's like to see bonus disks, since there's 800 hours of footage, if he'd taken the time to come over here and read my previous post he would have already known Peter is already trying to have 5 bonus discs of footage released of interviews.

It's not as much footage as you might even think, if you are just looking at it from a content perspective, I mean Peter interviewed about 80 people, has 800 hours of footage, so he basically interviewed each person for about a average of 10 hours each probably, that's a hell of alot of talking! I mean imagine someone just talking & talking for hours & hours, the same person.

I'm sure there's a hell of alot of crap to weeed out there, and alot of it will probably be useless.

I guess the good thing is that Peter is so obsessed he very THROUGH however you spell that, he left no stone unturned.

Seems like he could have been alot more organzied and direct to the point, have his questions wriitten out for the people being interviewed, seems really ridiculous that 80 people would have 800 hours of worth while stuff to say about Randy, I mean REALLY worthwhile stuff.

That's alot of shit to sort through and weed out the bullshit from the nice gems.

That could have been avoided if his questions had been better scripted and the interviews much more focused.

That's shit you got to think about when you are on a budget.

And that's why he over spent the budget and the film hasn't came out yet.
