Do you think more Randy Rhoads footage exists?

It puzzles me why more video and audio haven't been released of Randy, I don't mean to point the finger at Ozzy but I just don't understand why he'll praise him so much yet keep all things "Randy" behind closed doors. It's almost like they want Randy to have all the recognition in the world yet at the same time keep it a private matter.

Ozzy respects/fears Delores Rhoads (Randy's mother, if you don't know) too much to release something she wouldn't want out.

On top of that, you have the fact that anything featuring Bob Daisley or Lee Kerslake would probably be shut down rather quickly, because of the troubles they have with each other's party.

That makes sense, its just frustrating when the guy has such a following. Randy we so ahead of his time, hopefully we'll get something from all the Randy projects gong on.

Anyone seen the Diary tour live footage stills over at RR US? I don't understand whats going on. Last I heard the footage was without the A set (castle) and now these video stills show the castle in the back ground. If this is real footage how did the pictures leak out without any information?

Can anyone get that footage? When I tried to join the website (Before discovering the true RR Fansite ) it didn't work. It said that my account would be activated by "Admins" and I still haven't been activated! WTF!?!?

Are you sure there's video? I'm a member on there and didnt see any footage from the Diary tour, there is some pretty nice BOO pictures though.

Those are the same stills (Just with the RRUS Network thing tacked on them) that are available here.


I even posted in their thread correcting them about the pictures (Saying they were not from Ozzy's upcoming video, but from something totally different) and my post got deleted........... >.>

All I was doing was saying the truth about those pictures, but apparently they don't like the truth.

What ever happened to the prediction someone at RR.us made by having thousands of members by Christmas? It is sad, that site started out decent but the actions of a few there turned it into a stange and hateful atmosphere.

Hello, new to the board, and wanted to put my 2 cents into the footage debate.. Having been on the search for footage of Randy with Ozzy, and Ozzy with Sabbath for almost 20 years, I think for certain that more footage exists that folks even realize. I would bet anything that the AZ footage is just a small amount that is out there...
I can remember vividly in school (before I was a fan) a friend of mine telling me that he watched an Ozzy concert on Mtv. He said "It was awesome Ozzy bit a chunk of raw meat, and threw it into the crowd"
What we want (or maybe dont want to know) is how much is out there. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Wolfgangs Vault, Mtv, and The Capital Center archives has a few things, its just a matter of obtaining, licensing etc..
All we can do is hope that someday all the films can be tracked down, and released. Lets face it if someone has a privately owned fim of anyone that is rare, they will ususally just let it sit, and hope for a big payday for it.
Think positive! Remember when you first got a hold of the Palladium, and Rosement, ET footage etc..
For me, when I got that stuff in 97 it was like finding a piece of gold. Maybe us as fans need to work together somehow to try to get some more in general trading circles.
We are actually pretty lucky to have the small amount we have.. I'd bet that if the filmer of the Rosemont Horizon show was payed a decent amount of money, or some sort of rare memorabilia we could at least get a clean copy of that (without the glitches) And possibly more songs who knows.

Im just waiting Too! I got that NY & Chicago the first time back in 93 when I was 14 or 15
I Got Two RR Comps- The QR years which had the 3 songs from Whiskey 78-The Super 8 Footage (chilicookoff-Studio-Valley college ect.) & the Starwood show w/the Interviews the Ozzy one had AfterHours-NY Paladium-Chicago-E.T - Best new Talent award & Two on Town.
I waited by the Mailbox for like Ten days on it to arrive & must have rewound & played back the part where Ozzy lifted Randy 25 times.I didnt Know of or See the Rock Report Until like 97-98 on a different RR Comp I had got.I about Died when I saw that,I thought I had Everything.And then in 2004 when that Soundcheck footage showed up I was Exstatic of the Quality & its existince! After 20 plus years it just showed up (seemingly incomplete)
And confirmed there Was in fact Pro Footage of Randy That I had only Dreamed of exsisting.
As for what still may really be out there,Who Knows????? There are Literally Thousand of Pics & they played Closer to 200 shows that w/all those pics that surface fairly often Considering Randys been dead for the better part of 30 years.One would only assume that Sharon,Don,Jet,CBS,Local News & Venues would have at least One show filmed for prosperity,right???Sharon said "we actualy have TWO!! Shows in the Archive"
I just hope we get to see Alot of it,which prob wont happen.Ive been waiting Since I was like 6 or 7 for footage.

Sure it does but its gonna show Ozzy in a bad light..He was drunk and messed up nearly every show from what Rudy says in his book and of course he would not want that out now-Ozzy has made his money and does not need any from a RR dvd..Maybe if Sharon spends it all we might get to see something of RR--maybe the documentary will stir up some interest from the record co. and as greedy as they are they might dig around and find something Oz put back and has forgot about...my 2 cents--
