Hey Ace/Mr. Wolfe, I totally disagree while agreeing with you. The ideas, techniques of hypnosis is truly to get your mind off things or to let go. It's up to the user to lose themselves or say "I don't believe" over like a mantra, which produces nothing and keeps you grounded. It is true, if you can make your mind go some place else you will lose certain senses, I have done it on a small scale but there are many books on this subject throughout time. I suspect there are many universal truths. I don't claim to be an expert but I will return here sober and check out some of the other lucid dreaming/organism/orgasm thing, it sounds interesting. However, when one is in extreme pain, I would think only someone who studied and practiced these things like a monk, could quell such a storm of the human body. I had some bodily pains in my life so extreme, I considered a bridge for my medicine. I got better though...

Did you ever practice a guitar passage or phrase, while watching tv or trying not to think of what you were playing?

I had a lucid dream about Randy once..many years ago. I dreamed I was waiting at the loading dock at an arena wearing my leather jacket. black spandex pants and a bowtie with pin stripes ( I wore it in the 80s at concerts) As I was waiting, he showed up on golf cart and waved to me. I ran up to him and said "Namaste!" He gave me a weird look. lol!!!
Then I told him how much his music affected me on a deep level. He hugged me and said he had to get inside. Then he handed me a key chain and told me to he would be back and to wait.

I woke right up and said to myself, "Damn!!!!!!"

this is gonna sound crazy, but i once had a dream that randy was playing on top of a train that he fell off of, and i helped him up, and in return he took me backstage of a diary concert but i had to go to the bathroom first, and when i got back, i couldn't find randy. i can't even see randy live in my dreams! ha

When we say "Lucid Dream" are we all talking about knowing you are dreaming during the dream or wake-walking in the dream world? Otherwise you are having a dream, albeit an intense one. Pt. 1 - A lucid dream starts out as a regular except you stop being a "viewer" and along the way you actually realize that you are asleep by some of the faults in recreations of places you know. Pt. 2 - You then attempt to manipulate the dream to your liking. I could see being in a dream with Randy and realizing he wasn't with us anymore and wake up in the dream. I have had a couple of Randy Dreams but just enjoyed being a viewer where the dream took me. I had on recently of looking at Ozzy bootleg footage of pro-shot concerts and I remember saying, "They are all Gillis (footage)."

like i said its hard to do but just think of playing randys guitars and get a lession from him
think of seeing footage that never was filmed think of having randy as a best freind lucide dreaming is hard to do but you can do any thing

unlike a normal dream you the dreamer can not control your dream but when you lucide dream you can do anything when you lucide dream half of your mind knows thats it is in a dream state thats when you can do the any thing part when you are in a normal sleep mode most of your mind is shot off for rest but a few parts of the mind/brain are keept on to wake the brain up after rest
I AM NOT THAT SAMRT BUT I DO A LOT OF STUDYING AND RESHERCH
WHEN YOU HAVE A LOT OF TIME AND YOU DONT SLEEP THAT MUCH YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN

I've has several lucid dreams where yes, I realized I was asleep and could do whatever I wanted so I got myself some magical powers and went flying around. What sucks is that too often it's a momentary, fleeting thing- I wish I could spend an entire night lucid dreaming- id definitely fill this thread up anout Randy lol
