With all due respect to Mrs. Rhoads, neither her nor the Osbourne's can really play the "Randy wouldn't want this released" card any longer. Look at the quality, sound and vision, of the "new" footage included in the box set. Below average at best.
Until she drops dead, as the mother of the man in question, and the executive of the man's estate, she can play that card as long as she wants.
Delores Rhoads owes us NOTHING.
I would enjoy purchasing a live album that wasn't previously released material- audio and/or video, doesn't matter:) as a fan, I don't believe that it's disrespectful to Randy to want new material live, nor do I feel that Delores "owes" me or anyone else in the world anything either. If anything, it would only further his legacy by keeping his name out there with new releases, Randy's talent is evidenced by his live performances, he totally kicked ass! Ozzy wasn't always on that level though, sadly that alone is probably why it won't happen. It would be so awesome to put out another live album and this time direct a certain portion to the Randy Rhoads Foundation at UCLA:) I don't think he would mind too much either, given that his life was cut short and that is all we have left of him, but something is better than nothing.
If someone thinks that love and peace is a cliche that must have been left behind in the Sixties, that's his problem. Love and peace are eternal. John Lennon
