I don't think Randy's legacy will ever be killed, I mean just like earlier today, here it is almost 30 years since he died and in "rural" Mississippi I stll hear him on the radio multiple times every day. Doug Aldrich of Whitesnake mentioned using one of the Rhoads re-issue Marshalls on the new WS record, and countless guitar players who were not around while Randy was alive still get turned on to his music every day. Randy is still influential from the beginner player all the way up to a guy like Doug Aldrich (which says alot cause Doug is GREAT). Yes, there's alot of BS surrounding some of Randy's work, but it in no way tarnishes the legacy of the great, groundbreaking guitar player and more importantly the great human being that Randy was.

I thought Poland had a good scene with the music especially Heavy Rock / Metal music. I've always been surprised with some countries taste in music. But Europe Spain Belgium Netherlands Sweden etc they have always been switched on with massive music festivals and a big following. It gives a respective view like going back to the 80's for me when i visit places like Barcelona and Belgium.Eternity wrote:Maybe in the USA...But in Poland Randy's legacy is dead for years.

It would be hard to believe that a large Randy support system exists in every part of the world. Usually it is up to us hardcore fans to keep the faith. Randy thrives in the cyberworld. There is enough positive mojo out there to keep his legacy burning for quite some time. Knowing that is what makes me happy.

I've been a fan ever since I heard his name. I don't know why he matters to me, I don't play guitar and yet I've got his poka dot v tattooed on my arm. His story is one I cry about and long for him to be alive to this day. I get emotional when I try to explain who he was to people who never heard of him. I don't get bent outta shape about all the BS, I know how I feel and that is what matters to me. RANDY RHOADS RULES!
