Pat the guy on the left of the pic behind the driver looks more like Randy and he would wear a leather jacket and jeans ?. Remember the pics from Rudy's book Maybe the ladies can clear this one up, that's if they haven't been frightened off !!

Solved! :)

This thread is starting to remind me of a Sherlock Holmes or Columbo detective investigation. And, that is a cool 8) thing...

Tour bus drivers are usually on a rotation status. If a band has a friend who can pilot that monster bus---they will hold on to him and pay him accordingly. Who is the "driver" in that photo with Randy and Pat? (the first picture on page 3 of this ongoing thread)

We like to complete the detective work and get some answers 'it's elementary my dear Six String' Your getting mixed up with that top photo on page 3 i was addressing 'Pat who is The Flying Dutchman' the guy in the photo next to Randy is the tour manager Jake Duncan. I remember when that photo got some serious detective work done on it over at T.K it was pinpointed to the actual street in which Randy is standing. It was in Cologne Germany, Google earth satellite did the rest. Check it out http://www.nobitching.com/phpbb3/viewto ... fff4f4dd66

Those photos are great. I also took the awful aging red cast out of those. I realize that not everyone has a color calibrated monitor, but check out the difference.

Just in case you guys wanted these copies:

Maybe I'm wrong, but I could swear that I've seen more pictures from Linda and Debbie on the boards....from the day that they met Randy and the boys...one of which (If I'm not hallucinating) was her on the bus in one of the bunks...are there more that aren't posted?
Life's a stage and we're all in the cast.

Linda just signed up and I don't believe has posted yet. She's extremely busy. I'm sure when she gets the chance she will post.

whoopiecat wrote:I was wondering the same thing, GI...... Danno's post about his trip to Leesburg made me think about something Jerry Calhoun said...he lost someone he knew too...Andy is somewhat of a villian in Rhoads circles...none of us on this side of the fence will ever know what what went down on that shitty day, but there are are folks out there who didn't know Randy Rhoads, but they also lost someone they loved in a flying mishap on 3/19.
Not saying that's how you feel, It's just no matter how you slice it, it was a fuckin' tragedy for everyone involved....

T.
Andrew had a house there at the Flying Baron Estates. I recall some smaller ranch style houses going into the tour bus area. One house had a hanger in the back much like where you'd normally see a garage. Parked inside was a old Beechcraft Bonanza that hadn't seen the sky in many years. Gave me chills.

Jerry seemed every bit as torn up over the loss of "Andy" too. It really hit home finally that this was likely a pretty good man with family and friends who loved him too. He made an error in judgment sadly where there was no margin for error - especially that kind of plane. Jerry mentioned losing a number of friends in those Bonanzas. He said "Every time I tell someone not to go up in one of those - you gonna kill your a**!!".

That's enough for me.
