I believe so. I remember reading an article where Randy wanted to have a guitar with a Gibson body (Or was it Gibson playability? I don't recall which) with a Fender tremolo on it. Thus the PDV was born.

Okay...I couldn't just sit and be quiet. The guy who sold the one on eBay did indeed get the Charvel brass trem from the guy guy who made them for Charvel many years ago (and still does). I too live in Orange County in southern California and it's not uncommon knowledge for many of us who grew up around these people. I won't disclose the name of the company as they are a private firm who are contracted to make OEM parts for other companies. Before Fender's aquisition of Charvel, I went to the owner, Bill, to ask him if I could get a Charvel brass trem from him like from years ago. He pieced one together for me while I sat in his office and waited as he talked and told me some funny stories about Grover Jackson and all that. In a glass case by the door of his office were other pieces of musical instrument hardware items his company used to make and among them were the brass control plate and V string plate for the original style Jackson Randy Rhoads. I asked him about that and he said he made all those for Jackson many years ago. Jump to the present and I have kept in touch with Bill as he has been in contract to continue. the brass hardware for the Charvel line that you can currently buy. These are not at all like the Fender trems nor have they ever looked like them. Just looke closely at Randy's original white V. Look at any original preproduction Charvel with the brass trem. Plus the tone of the brass trem is far more superior than the steel of the Fender. The spares that Randy had in his case were spare arms...he'd break them from his sporadic warbles, push pulls and other acrobatics...again, look at pics and you you see the arm is thin. Bill still makes 'em...and he's a hell of a nice guy.

I'm on a mission trying to find the tuners for a Concord build. I have something close, but I'm too anal for anything but exact
