Poor kid, people talk over his head when he isn't being insulted. Seriously. Maybe he's having family problems or something akin to that. Myself, I hope he wanders over to Randy's facebook page and finds support and resources he needs in his quest to play guitar. If he is having issues with his build, parts, hell- even getting a guitar itself, maybe someone over there would be kind enough to help him out or hook him up. People bitch that kids aren't discovering Randy, but when they do- they get fucked with more often than not. Sucks shit.

I understand all of the questions. I am the same age and I am inclined to ask plenty questions however I do research and find myself answers and if I cant find anything after enough searching I will ask the question. I do agree that RWND does possibly make a few too many new threads and they get very repetitive, although I try to understand RWND has claimed of many things and so far has no proof of any of it. He has no proof of the les paul he is building, no proof of the pedalboard in which the entire post was pasted from another website. He doesnt even have proof of his playing so I think that although members are harsh, right now they have every right to be so as RWND has no proof of anything he has claimed and does post a bit too much. I think that if you are able to get to pictures up and show some proof of anything then others will be less harsh but for now I see where they are coming from.

That is what I mean, many are very repetitive and many have no material, not to say all are as some have good info, however many do not. When I said posts I meant threads such about every Cheap knock off "Randy" guitar made out of plywood. BTW, just get the real thing and forget about getting some cheap guitar and spending $600 for parts to make it somewhat decent

He's a good kid who really wants to be a part of this community and most of the rest of the membership here never start any new threads, they just bitch, attack and demean anyone and everyone.

Anyone who doesn't like RWND's posts, fuck right off and move on to something you do care about. Y'know why our world is so fucked up? Because so many people insist on being assholes to their fellow man simply because they don't have anything positive to contribute.

This board should drop Randy's name and call itself "Ultimate Bullshit". Joe started it for very positive reasons and now, just like tk, it's become bloated with hundreds of 'members' who've never posted a word and loads of assholes who have zero compassion.

I understand and agree with you Paul, I definitely don't want to be one of "those" members, Im not trying to knock RWND for posting lots, its just the content of them, I think RWND may want to think back if hes made a similar thread before making a new one thats identical and possibly put some of his work up that he talks about, to avoid the backlash from the other members of the community. When I said go get the real thing I worded it wrong, I didn't mean go get a Sandoval or Gibson Custom Shop for 6G, I meant get something similar that is still of quality such as a cheaper Gibson like the Classic Custom or a Burny or a well known Polka V replica builder like Ed Roman or GMW, the wording on that was my bad. Although I will thank you Paul for stepping up and saying that it really has become a place for people to argue and complain more than honour Randy's legacy.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, with audio and visually, and it's all subjective :>)
There's ppl all over YT with 100 chinese/japanese knockoffs rockin their socks off, c*cks out (usually not literally, I hope!), whatever have you- all that business. So it's not necessarily that you start with a "quality" instrument, quality can be largely who and what you're playing on it.

yeah, I want to be an optimistic person that tries to find value in RWND's excitement and sometimes impatience. He's merely 16 years old- like I said before (n to RWND) Randy's legacy is largely in your hands, literally. When you play, and you're doin' your own thing, you're carrying on where he had no choice but to leave off. Don't stop, whatever it is that you do, when you speak- speak for him also through your instrument. An inspiration for young people.

can yu explain then why people buy the "real thing" like a gibson LP or a jackson and still change things on them?????...every single guitarist I know changes pick ups in pretty much every brand of guitar they own, its just what we do
