People who bitch in a thread rather than make positive contributions are the reason the forum is dead these days. The old timers (I've been doing this since '03 online) who've discussed it all before don't want to discuss anything with the younger generation when it turns into a bitchfest every time.

Ever hear the saying, "If can't say something nice, don't say anything at all"? Anyone who is going to simply complain so as to add another post to their count shouldn't even bother posting.

This 'community' is what the members make it. I've been trying to keep it going, the rest of you get to do your part now.

sytharnia, listen to the interview I linked and comment on anything Don said. I would welcome a discussion with you.
I did listen to the interview and yes it was very good, but nothing really new or worth discussing really...my comment was aimed directly at the very first response (by bobs mum  ) which right away threw in the groundhog day subject (Thats another reason to support Bob & Lee when a fellow band mate is giving them both praise. For everyone who likes to wave the banner of 'Bob's full of shit'. Why would a guy who played in the band with him say such words).....bob's a big boy and can look after himself....just sayin

I totally get that bob helped randy to get "focused" as a writer as don says, something that didn't happen in quiet riot....the riffs/rhythms are all randy with bob, lee and even ozzy jamming and arrange stuff with randy....that's how a lot of bands work

sytharnia, Thank you. Your first post came across as though you had not bothered with the interview clip and just dove into criticism. If you simply found nothing in the interview to comment on and found something in a subsequent post to comment on, I understand and thank you for taking part in the conversation.

My favorite part of the interview:

Bob and Lee were a great rhythm section. Yeah, Great Rhythm section!

Umm, yeah, they were AWESOME.

I think the forum is dead because the box came out awhile ago, and there is really nothing new on the horizon. Sadly enough.

It'll go dead if everyone goes silent and is waiting for the next documentary etc. Why do we have to go silent and unactive because nothing is happening on the horizon. Everyone manages to visit facebook and all the other popular internet sites and they talk about mundane crap like what they've just had to eat and what music they are listenming too. This site has off topics and aslong as the new threads are there and it makes interesting reading ...let it be.
