You gotta remember, by the time the DOAMM tour had started, Ozzy was a big deal. So, if anything, the next album was already under serious consideration and probably heavily talked about.
Although I like Bob as a musician, and he generally seems like a good dude, you have to wonder if he's a little bit sketchy. Ozzy and Sharon really seem to dislike Bob and Lee, and I know that Phil Soussan had issues too, but I think there is a different level of dislike the Osbourne's have for Bob and Lee. It doesn't really make sense. There is definitely "something" there. Something about the accident, or something about the tunes on the next few albums, or maybe something to do with Randy. We're only getting 80% of the picture, and that's what is making everybody nuts! We just want to know what's up, and everybody has been so weird for years!

When I said something about the accident, I know that Bob and Lee weren't there, but I was just saying people are weird about the accident. And answer this, why did Ozzy and Sharon love Rudy and Tommy, but dislike Bob and Lee? Probably because Rudy and Tommy didn't play on either record, but still.
There is some reason why they (the Osbournes) STILL cannot see eye-to-eye with Bob and Lee about these days.
I wouldn't be surprised if the whole entire Ozzy camp was worried about a new studio album without Randy, and really pushed Bob to get the new guitarist to copy a lot of Randy's riffs fro those tapes. Think about it, if Gun's and Roses were together still today, and Slash died or quit the band and had a bunch of tapes of him jamming, don't you think Axl and the rest of the band (including the label folks) would be ALL OVER those tapes?? They would DEFINITELY want to create their next record with that same sound.

Re: Think About It...
I know people wanna believe "there isn't anything there, they used all the material they could use at the time" but the basic fact exists...Randy was NUTS about guitar and played 8 hours a day. ONE WEEK worth of his jamming probably cultivated 50-100 riffs/tunes/ideas, ect.
There is a gold mine somewhere with all of the answers.
