Re: Ehink it was mentioned, but pretty Interesting
The palladium footage we have now was filmed by a fan with a super8. He stopped filming after 2,5 songs to save batteries for the Motorhead show afterwards.
If it's Palladium it has to be different footage than we already seen.

In that one interview, Sharon said back then the cameras had to changed every twenty minutes, so they were trying to piece it all together. On tk, they had verbal assurance from that guy that filmed the Palladium footage that we've all seen that the Osbournes were NOT using his cleaned up footage.
It ain't gonna be the 13 minutes from that or Chicago '82. It may not be pro shot, but im sure it will be new to all of us.

The "studio" at the end of "Super 8 studio" is nothing more than Ozzy's ramblings in trying to recollect something. You guys are trying to make WAY too much of his exact phrasing. He can barely construct a sentence. THINK who we're talking about! C'mon! The Flying Dutchman wrote:Sure it can.GUITARIDOL5682 wrote:As far as the 'super 8 studio' could that not be the place the film has originaly came from a collectors vault ?.
Like you said already, a 'super 8 studio' can be just a name for a studio or implying that it's studio for working on super8 footage only.

You probably right!

The photo of the flyer that was inserted in the new OZZY cd stated that there was going to be a documentary included so if the whole thing only totals 65 minutes I would say we are getting some chopped up footage & not a whole show...

Nobody has ever said that we would get a whole show. We all wished for one and hoped that they would be putting some thing out that would run for more then just a few minutes. But it's looking like a couple of Live cuts and according to that flyer an interview with Lemmy, Steve Vai, Rob Halford & others. So we'll be lucky to see 30 minutes of footage, if that ?.
Re: Ehink it was mentioned, but pretty Interesting
i think so too!i got a feeling its gonna be like when the live and loud vhs came out?where it had 15 20 maybe 30 second clips of randy playing on after hours...but i wont bitch whatever it might be(not an official after hours release)ill be happy..like i've said im looking more forward to the chit chat sharon reffered to during the making of the albums actually.also the "3rd film on randy" she mentioned..anything else i wont get my hopes up but if its something we havent "seen" then i'll probably shit myself lol!!!!!!hoping for the best!!!!!
Re: Ehink it was mentioned, but pretty Interesting
Something tells me that we are all going to be a bit disappointed. If it was as monumental as the original twitter post made it out to be, then I think they would still be hyping it up left and right. DMN makes an interesting point about it not being Palladium stuff, so I guess I'm swayed on that. But just going by what's been said by Ozzy, Sharon and Zakk, I've stopped hoping for much.
I'm certain that more footage exists, but I dont think we are going to see it. Many people have mentioned how bad Ozzy's vocals tended to be back then, and how there is no way he could re-do them now in his old age. I tend to think this is correct, unfortunate though it may be.
The best we can hope for is Bob Daisley someday being able to release the audio he has, IMO. But I could be wrong and sure hope I am.

I was daring to hope that it was the video that Whoopiecat spoke about, where Don sold a Blizzard show for $100,000. No one pays that kind of money for just a few filmed songs and not just for amateur footage. So the good news is that there is at least one full pro shot concert that exists, but like everyone else was kinda hopin we'd see it as part of this Deluxe thing.

According to someone trying to sell a book. I guarantee you it didn't contain live Randy footage.Gus wrote:I was daring to hope that it was the video that Whoopiecat spoke about, where Don sold a Blizzard show for $100,000.

True, if so they screw up for the so maniest time..... I think no artist's legacy has been handled that poor as Randy's. It's ashaming. Within a decade nobody will care what might be out there.... Well maybe that's what they want huh?GUITARIDOL5682 wrote:Nobody has ever said that we would get a whole show. Speak of the devil was an official album, yes. He made it because he was obligated to and he has bad-mouthed it many times since, but it was an official release. The Flying Dutchman wrote:True, if so they screw up for the so maniest time..... No Pat is on about the Speak of the Devil video which MTV released years ago. It's not a RR show its with Brad Gillis. It has just been rereleased but i'm not sure what label it has been released on. I'm thinking it has been put out by a non connected (Osbourne label Sony) as it's only available at amazon and play.com. i think its release date is coming up.AceVader wrote:Speak of the devil was an official album, yes. Re: Ehink it was mentioned, but pretty Interesting
Yep, I meant the DVD with Brad.
There wasn't much hassle/attention when it was released right? It just pops up years ago. I'm wondering if the same could happen with the Randy stuff later on?
Well, we have to wait and see what it's gonna be they put out, at least it's something new.
But if they have a full show, I can't find any reason why not realising it complete?
(unless they don't have one.... which I can't believe really)
Also, from the latest news, I really don't read the 'doc' might be released by the O's as suggested before. With guys like Pete Mertons being interviewed it still would be nice to see it come out I guess. But I don't have much hope we'll see it.....
EDIT: well it could be still the 'doc' but edited a bit.....

I've just checked play.com and the release date is not until 6th September 2010. It would be worth finding out if the people putting this out have anything to do with the Blizzard / Diary deluxe set. As they may have some info for the booklet before it goes to press. But i'm sure this has been put out on an independent label like sanctuary who buy peoples back catalogues for rerelease.
